    Ertl 2011

What scale is the combine? 32 or 64
  2. I'm off to look at my T6090 again as I obviously haven't looked carefully enough! I think the 6000's do have quite big cabs though...but I better check.
  3. Hopefully the Case UH has just been photographed badly and it looks better in the flesh. G&M have them coming soon so I'd guess they'll be available by Spalding. It's odd because the UH T6090 is s good model on a par with Ros's T7070.
  4. A quick post on the upcoming Puma CVX 230 - I'm not sure it looks quite right. The cab seems to be angled backwards rather than forwards and the curve of the bonnet doesn't seem quite right....am I being picky or are these valid criticisms. It's a shame as it seems to have lost the aggressive styling of the Puma in this model - but perhaps this is just a prototype. I would say the Britains model is a better shape then the UH one.
  5. Great thanks If that is a small tweezer - how big are your big tweezers!?
  6. Hi A slightly stupid question, but how did you get the grey wheel centres off the 936 front wheels? I've tried pushing the pins out from behind the wheel but can't seem to get them to move - any tips or tricks?
  7. I'm guessing it won't be long before New Holland announce the T8.420 (although Ertl let the cat out of the bag by announcing the 1/64 T8.420 a little while ago). I wonder if Siku or Britains will change their decals to match.
  8. Has anyone seen a T8.xxx working in the UK this summer? I'd be interested in seeing one in real life...
  9. One thing that does seem to be wrong with this model - Britains T8.390 - (based on this picture and the one in classic tractor) is that it is missing the four little forward facing lights at the front just above the front weight? See this picture of a UK spec ex-demo machine and the Britains model:
  10. Having bought the standard siku model for the T8 and being a little underwhelmed it's interesting looking at this LCN model as they have addressed everything that is wrong with the the standard version. - cab interior is all painted - much improved wheels - steps are silver not black - 4 little lights at front are painted (note the Britains prototype seems to be missing these entirely) - decent front weight - some engine colour detail - ad blue cap is blue Can you only get this model if you attend the show?
  11. What's changed on the 2011 version?
  12. Do Velcourt have a big operation in the Royston area then? I thought they used all Case machines - both harvesters and combines as they had a large agreement in place with them? Also thinking about it, one of the fields they had harvested had a JD doing some hedgecutting - or would they contract that out?
  13. I don't think there are too many differences between the 770 and the 600. However, I've heard it suggested that Claas have a 780/790/800 in the plan...perhaps the new Norev 1/32 wont be a 770 after all! I guess we'll know in the Autumn.
  14. What sort of acreage would they be covering each year - 3-4000 acres each - so 6-8000 acres in total?
  15. Finally, I was right about it being a brace of Lexion 770s - the chaser bin makes more sense now. Sorry, photos aren't great as they were beside a main road and couldn't get very close.
  16. A slightly unusual Case?
  17. A CR9080 and 9070 parked up on the way to work this morning
  18. I'm trying to find a replacement set of wheels for the Siku NHT8.390 model....the Fendt Wikings are the right size but I'm not sure if you can buy these individually? Or I thought the Siku Deutz x720s might be right - but the sites above don't seem to specify this model - anyone know the tyre sizes of it?
  19. Around me (Essex/Herts/Cambs border) it used to be all Fords until the early 90s when they lost their way a little (not selling a tractor between 125hp and 170hp didn't help I think). Since then, it's been JD 6,7 and 8 series absolutely everywhere - with virtually no NH or much else for that matter. Until about 2-3 years ago I'd say, when NH have started to reappear in quite large numbers - often as hired in for the peak period I think. Fendt are also starting to appear more and more. At the very top HP, a lot of the big JDs are being replaced by Quadtracs - I reckon there are prob 5-10 Quadtracs now working in the area.
  20. Something a bit more mainstream
  21. Cambs/Herts border in the Royston area. Can PM exact details if you like but prob best not to be too specific on the forum based on how much stuff is getting stolen to order these days! It is a pretty spectacular pairing. I think there might even be another 770 operating from this farm as last year they had two NH 9080s and I can't believe that one 770 could cope with the work of the two NHs - unless they have reduced their farmed area. The chaser bin seems a bit oversized for one machine as well. The Quadtrac driver had a lot of time on his hands - as he was shuttling to lorries waiting on the headlands.
  22. No offence at all! In many ways you are right - compared to the Britains MF and IH models, this falls someway short. I've been reflecting on it during the day - The wheels are particularly awful and it just seems a bit basic all round. It seems like quite a backward step in comparison to the Xerion 5000 for example. Oddly though, you can see the potential of the model if Wiking got stuck into it. But as it's a US built machine, that seems unlikely. Let's hope the Britains model is considerably better than this one (and probably cheaper too).
  23. Saw this quite impressive pairing yesterday - a new Lexion 770 with 10.5m cutterbar and a Quadtrac with triple axle chase bin (not sure of the capacity but guessing it must be north of 20t).
