Any suggestions for appropriate Siku/other wheels to replace the very narrow sets on the old Britains Ford 7710/5610? Also, to remove Ertl wheels, do you just pull or should I punch out the axle from the retaining 'washer' first?

Following the article in this month's model farmer I'm going to have a go at converting a New Holland 8970...however, the guide in the mag assumes a bit of expertise already so wondering if anyone has a beginners guide to converting models that gives some of the basics involved? Or if Peter Rickle is on here, whether he has a more detailed version then what was included in the magazine? Managed to get hold of an ERTL 8670 so now trying to source the other parts. Is the best place to get the Siku wheels and hitch direct from them? They are currently out of stock on the Fendt 718 wheels...

Any alternative suggestions of how to replace the bonnet from the Case STX to the t9000 apart from buying the scale models TJ450 and taking it apart?

I've also just got hold of this model (having paid quite a bit more than £45 for it....) and would disagree a bit with this review. It's true that it's definitely more fragile than UH or SIku models but the level of detail is excellent - at least as good as the UH Tucano. So as long as it's not going to be used as a toy then I would definitely recommend it as an addition to any Claas combine collection.

Subscription query: Subscribed to Model Farmer on Friday and on the forum it says my subscription is active, but when I try to access the magazine it says I don't have permission to do so. I've tried emailling the address mentioned for help but had no response - any ideas what I need to do to make it all work?
