Has anyone seen/got one of these new models yet?
If so, any opinions good or bad - it seems pretty expensive (same price as a Wiking model) so wondering what the quality is like.
Anyone else noticed on the NH teaser videos on you tube for the T8. And T9. series that it features a T9.670...that makes for quite a beast of a machine (on the basis that 670 is the HP) - 140 horses more than the current T9060 range topper and the biggest JD have to offer as well.
The 7810 and 5640 are pretty similar size wise and scales right I think - the 7810 was a small tractor. The 5610 is out - the same basic model also appeared first as a TW20 and then as a 7710. The scaling for the model was all based around the size of the standard Britains rear wheel and hence it's really a too small TW20 and no where near an accurate 5610.
Does anyone have access to a copy of this issue - I'm looking for an article on history of ford 7810 and I think it is in this issue? I had it myself until I threw out all the issues over 1 year old (ooops). Ideally want to get just a copy of the article or failing that then at least confirmation this is the right article before I buy it a second time as a back issue!
Makes a perfect partner for the Claas combine - a shame no one makes a decent older style grain cart as the Britains models (especially the hitch) just don't seem quite right...again the scale seems a bit odd (just too big in this case!).
Ooops - depth of field has gone a bit wrong on some of these photos (for the photo boffins out there)...will try to correct for the next lot so everything is in focus at one time!
And a little comparison with some of it's peers - the Imber 5640 and the Britains 5610....makes the Britains look a little ropey by comparison and really highlights how Britains didn't stick all that closely to scale.
Thanks for help so far.
Can't find any references / examples of a siku small square baler - anyone have one of these (not for sale - just interested to know if it exists!).
Hi I'm looking to recreate some farm setups from late 80s / early 90s and trying to find out if / who makes some of the following models. Any suggestions much appreciated.
MF 3070 4WD
Claas small square baler
8 bale sled
John Deere 4850 or 4955
Dowdeswell 6f reversible plough
John Deere 4050, 3350 and 2850
New Holland TF44 Combine
Ford 8210 - both Q and Super Q cab versions
Ford 6700 Q cab
Richard Western grain trailer
Bettinson 6m trailed drill
That'll do for now!
Anyone compared these two together and able to give a view on which is the higher quality model? Can only afford one so thought I'd ask for expert opinion....
OK, figured it out for myself - brute force is what's required. It's a grooved rod at the end onto which the wheel has been forced - so you just need to pull really, really hard. Suggest a cushion underneath to catch the model when it falls as well!
Been searching about for how to remove the rears on the Britains T8040 New Holland model and tried the twisting in opposite directions and the pulling very hard techniques but still no joy. Is it a case of just pulling even harder or is there another way of removing the rear wheels? The fronts were easy...
Basic question - how do you fit new rear wheels?
The specifics - I'm trying to fit rear Siku Fendt 718 wheels to an Ertl 8670 model. I've removed both sets of wheels but now not sure how I refit as the fendt axle is too short and the Ertl axle has locking washers that are too large to fit into the recess in the Siku wheel. Can I buy new uncut axles and fixing washers and if so, where from?
