I'd like to see those County tires on the back axle of the TW as well. - they look great.
-
Funny that no one seems to be making the TW-35....yet anyway!
-
Hopefully a blue 8970 will make it onto the list this year.
-
I think I'll wait for the Marge version anyway
-
I'm sure it will get chunkier boots by its release
-
Can someone just remind what it was about wheels and the 12m vario again......
-
Is anyone not making a case quadtrac?
-
Just to clarify then, does the lack of Ford TW25 model mean Uh are now not releasing this? Also, no sign of the heavily speculated Ford 7610 - perhaps they are going to give Marge some breathing space!
-
I'm finding all these black and silver versions really boring now....
-
Hopefully they will also adjust the size of the cab step gantry as it looks like it was made for the dual front wheel version.

I'd be interested - although depends a bit on timing etc -
1st week of Feb for the Kane's is my understanding.

Whats your latest Farm/Construction buy 2012

Lexion 770TT for me -
The 1455 looks like a mock up to me - I reckon the final version will be better
-
Finally a JD SG2 machine! Brilliant news. I hope it's 1/32 scale!
-
I'm pleased Marge are doing the bigger Fords. The 7610s are simple brilliant models and so hopefully will these. Those front head lamps look interesting - square profile is definitely more unusual then the round ones. But will help make it a bit different so I'm not complaining. I wonder if they will also do a County. Perhaps also explains why UH are doing the TW25 and not the 35.

Classic Tractor Magazine Index
mrol replied to mrol's topic in Brochures, Farming Books and Magazines
Perhaps 10 people who take a year each to give an index of last 10 years? We have 3 here already so just need another 7 volunteers...prob worth Rory defining the categories for the index up front to ensure they are all consistent. I'm happy to do any year - but I only have back issues for the last year! -
Does anyone know if there is an index of articles (like Profi magazine does) for Classic Tractor magazine i.e. by machine/mfr and which mag they appeared in?

Prices are up on G&M and look very reasonable - 32.50 for the TW/8830 and 34 for the County. Anyone offering to put some bigger boots and front mud guards on the 8830 - I'd be keen as mustard for this and would do myself if I wasn't so cack handed!?

What is the best model you have bought in 2011?
mrol replied to masseyferguson390's topic in General Hobby Discussion
Marge models 7610 - amazing detail, quality and colour. Really impressed by it. -
I have an 8R version of both and the Siku is bout 3mm lower and also about 3mm longer (front to back) than the Britains/Ertl - so it is definitely shorter and fatter. The Britains model has a nice curved back window whereas the Siku is flat. Which one has the right dimensions though I'm not sure! Overall, the Siku is definitely the better model of the two in my opinion.

Spalding v Zwolle Topic (split from 2011 Zwolle topic)
mrol replied to mrol's topic in Events and Shows
I think we should try to persuade a group of the NI modellers to come over for Spalding as they have some great dioramas and would be some good inspiration to all the visitors (obviously alongside the British guys). -
Universal Hobbies: Too many Models? Discuss..
mrol replied to FordTractorCrazy's topic in Universal Hobbies Models
I agree on the tyres point - we've all become so used to the huge tyres of today that we forget what they were like. And positively this still leaves plenty of room for the custom builders to work on. What's also good is that it appears that the Force ii series now seems to have its indicators which is good. Final point re: custom building, whilst i accept that UH churns out lots of models they do make them much more accessible to the general collector who cannot afford the prices of some of the custom work. In addition, there are still thousands of machines/implements/harvesters to go for in the custom world that I struggle to see how UH producing these tractor models is a bad thing. -
Universal Hobbies: Too many Models? Discuss..

Hold on...there's pretty much the entire John Deere 40, 50, 00 and 10 series to be produced by one of the model mfrs plus a lot of old combines, foragers etc....the excitement when a JD 3350 or a 4850 is announced will be incredible I reckon!
