  1. Patience is a virtue gentlemen , i have already made a space for one on my shelf, its only 6 months or so away.. arrrgghhhh. ..
  2. Im jealous, i have a huge way to go and would have to spend a huge amount of money to "complete" my collection, i suppose it helps that i like all types of tractors from the late vintage era to the modern stuff, personally i think it is great that model firms are now providing a wider choise to collectors but i think they have a long way to go before everything has been accounted for, i know one can purchase a convertion or re-build of practically everything but most of these tend to be expensive and out of a lot of collectors price range. I will re-address this issue when i have a couple of Countys, Muir Hill 171, Roadless 120 a David Brown 996 "later model with the saftey cab!", Leyland 282 and say a late cabbed Nuffield 4/65 sitting on a shelf in my home, all 1/32 scale and cost less then 50 quid each...
  3. Wow so looking forward to seeing this Q cabbed 600 series Ford, when i was a child i remember thinking my old britains 6600 had the wrong! cab and again with newer 7600 "i never purchased one because i did not like the cab", well better late then never i suppose even if it is 30 or so years late.. .. Well done Britains ..
  4. Cheers chaps , and thanks MJB1 as i followed your advice and now my old baler works almost perfect with the aid of the magical wd40 .. My son and i earlier had a great time baling the living room carpet!, amazing a toy/model that has lived in the attic for the last 10 years has a new lease of life it seems.
  5. I have just dug out from the attic my old Britains NH baler, its in good nick but from the day i took it out of the box many moons ago it would not work, i suppose this question as been asked countless times but how do you get these old balers to work as they supposed to, my 5 year old son got very angry with it earlier as no matter how he tried the baler seized up while being towed behind a tractor, just like i did when i was his age!, is there a way to fix this??. :'(
  6. Bloody hell!! 8) 8).. Am i asking too much but would there be a possibility of them sticking some big wheels on the front maybe tinker with the front end a bit and slap on some different decals, Britains managed it back in the 80s so im sure our good freinds at UH could .. Though i hope they get the colour right this time.
  7. A 1/32 County would be nice 1174, 1184, 1474/1884 would buy either/all without a second look to be honest but i suppose this is a massive black hole for us collectors well County fans anyway. Also a 50 series John Deere i am sure a 2850, 3350 or a 3650 would be a huge seller, i would buy one anyway.. I think UH as other firms should make more classic era products as the market is i think flooded with modern stuff.
  8. I cannot understand why model firms will not produce a 600 series Ford with a bubble cab, the range had this cab for most of there production run and though a bit faint now i always remember a 600 series Ford with a bubble cab, if the new 6600 and 7600 has the older 7000 style Q cab i wont be interested .. Its about time model manufactuers listened to the people who buy there products.. Sorry for the rant!!!..
  9. exellent work Justin , where did you get the bubble cabs from??
  10. Very much looking forward to the Fords, please please please may them have bubble cabs and steering,
  11. Finally got round to reading the MF 3000 series article earlier, facinating stuff though i never knew MF was in so much trouble during the early 80s and they was almost bankrupt!, i suppose many other tractor producers was in the same boat and as we know some did not surive. :'(
  12. Thankyou all so much for your help, right have i got this right? thread the string into the hole at the top of the mast then tie it to the plug on the other side in a knot?.. Is the string tied between the main mast and the carrier mast or behind both as for the life of me i cannot see how i can thread and tie the string between the masts?? \
  13. Yes that 7610 looks stunning, takes me back to my time working at Harris of Hereford a Ford/New Holland dealership back in the late 80s/early 90s now Ravenhill farm services!, Sorry to be picky but the badge on the front looks awful as it should be a proper Ford logo!! anyway fantastic mag as usual..
  14. I have a nice britains saunderson forklift the model is in ok conditon though the string that lifts the carrrier on the mast is broken, i have tried to repair it but i am baffled as to how it works. May i ask can someone explain if it is possible to repair and if so how to do it please, it is a shame as the model is in good nick apart from the bleeding string!!..

    Doe shop on ebay?

Just a thought!, last night i purchased a Britains NH 8040 off ebay on a buy it now thingie this was after some shopping around mind you it seemed a good price. Tonight while checking my purchase i notice the seller was the famous tractor dealership Doe they have a shop on ebay!, after browsing through there shop i went on and purchased a Britains snoopy tractor "i have wanted one for ages " and a old Ford converstions calender. It seems official and my NH has already been dispatched. So is this the real deal and have i really purchased some things off this famous company??, should i be cheeky and ask them for some up to date NH brochures??? ..
  17. My brother handed me a nice Britains Same rubin 150 tonight, thought you might like this he said.. Nice one bro..
  18. In my experience with ebay 99.9% of the time it is fantastic, most sellers are good and you will receive your purchase within a week of payment, only once a while ago know i had to remind a seller about a model i had purchased, i left it a week before contacting him, all resolved the seller was on holiday and dispatched the model soon after, be patient..
  19. I have seen some fantastic looking convertions on this forum and have often thought about having a go myself. I have been advised to start with little changes using old play worn models, so today i picked a few with the help from an old scrap model. This was my first attempt, i have a old wrecked britains 5610 and thought the front axle would look ok on my britains 6600!, after a bit of fileing the axle fitted snug, re-connected the steering bar and hey presto a 4wd Ford 6600.. Then i went a bit mad, i swapped the front axles from my old MF 595 and Duetz DX110, both axles went on sweet as a nut and both tractors look quite good in my opinion.. I know some have you have probabley done this loads of times before but i am delighted as i actually made some changes myself and with the option of changing them back to there origianal state...
  20. This mag just gets better and better , Never seen so many forage harvesters!, its a fantastic idea i think to reveiw the implements as well as tractors i mean you cannot have one without the other.. The Ford 7000 tribute is exellent and i like the new binding by the way.. Brilliant magazine.. :)
  21. During the 80s quite a few MB-tracs was sold in the Uk, usually 1300s and the smaller 1000s around my area, i seem to remember contractors liked them, they was well built and powerful tractors in there time. Sadley in 1991 Mercedes Benz ceased tractor production, they was expensive but they was quality machines.
  22., I often think this when i visit a farm, Oh you like tractors do ya?, ive got the old County 1884 in the shed hasnt worked for years, give us ten bob and you can have her, bloody thing just gets in the way!!.. I think them days are long gone..
  23. I think they have gone way over priced, i used to collect brochures up until about a year ago, i got fed up with the prices on ebay i also emailed or visited dealerships in search of them, not so long ago the staff was more then happy to give me a few brochures but i think dealerships have cut down on supply as towards the end they seemed a little reluctant and on a few occations refused piont blank!, i found getting anything from SDF dealerships was practically impossible.. I still have my collection and would love to add to it but prices and peoples attitude will have to change first..
  24. Yea i agree very nice little 2120, i do think the original boots on the Britains little Ford and Massey 362 looks too small, makes them look like one of them little french or italian vineyard things.
  25. Hmmm, nice price i think i might get one as well, i was looking at one of these earlier in my local model shop, price 26.95!!...
