  1. Thanks for the suggestion, I will take a look. I have ordered a couple of sets in the past for it from Farmmodels.nl, but they looked too narrow for it when they arrived. I think I am coming to the conclusion that I should convert it to to a JCB Knight Sprayer.
  2. I am also working testing new wheels on my JCB 4220, i have struggled to find suitable row crops for it. These wheels are from a Challenger Rogator. They are roughly 350/80R48. They seem a little big, but I am.struggling for alternatives. what do you think? My other option is to turn it into a JCB/Knight Sprayer.
  3. I am currently working on improving the Ertl John Deere 1775 NT Plant. I have started by replacing the Ertl row units with UH Monosem Row Units which are of far greater detail. I plan to add a fertiliser tank, pipe work, hand rails on the steps along with painting the plastic sections in John Deere green.
  4. yes would agree, I don't think I would have gone through the process of building it if I new wiking were going to release a detailed version.
  5. it's from an Ertl John Deere 8530 precision classic.
  6. yes it is the cheaper ertl version. I missed out on getting the 9620RX before there prices went crazy. so I bought a 9570RX, I then painted the wheels John deere yellow, added hand rails, rear linkage, mirrors and the Sumo front weight.
  7. spring is well under way on Lantau Farms. We have finally got into the fields and started planting potato's in the last few weeks.
  8. I have painted the power harrow now, all it is waiting for are the decals now.
  9. update on my dowdeswell power harrow. I have the majority of the model complete now. I think this has been my most productive weekend ever, considering I only started this model on Saturday morning.
  10. made some good progress today on my latest project, an 8m Dowdeswell Power Harrow. I am hoping to get it finished this weekend.
  11. Other than progress on the shed, there has been a reorganisation of the machine shed, silos and workshop to use the space a bit more efficiently. Main activity on the farm has been prep work for the spring. We have been washing out the sprayer and beginning the prep work on the potato planting equipment. The 8530 has spent a lot of the winter in the workshop with radiator issues. It remains one of the workhorses of the farm, but she is getting quite costly.
  12. I have made a bit more progress with grain/potato store. I have painted the steel frame. I have also added the drying floor, concrete front floor and then most of the breeze block walls. I have also made some progress on the central ducting. The main doors have been added, each bay has a set of three doors.
  13. Have to agree, this topic is great. I have fallen in love with Massey Ferguson's again.
  14. That's awesome, did you print the entire trailer frame and springs as one component?
  15. The springs really do look good. Have you printed them or have you made them from plastic?
  16. Thanks, I will make sure to keep them coming through. Any chance you will have a layout again soon. I have certainly taken some impression from your work in the past. I have some of the card "concrete slabs" you recommended waiting to go on the layout.
  17. I have uploaded a few more photos of the Simba kit on the Lantau Farm's topic.
  18. Here are a few photos I have found from last Autumns Tillage. First picks are the John Deere 8530 with all around duals with Simba 23c 6m Disc Harrows and a Simiba 6.5m Cultipress. On stand by is the John Deere 9570RX with a Simba Flatliner to bust out the deeply compacted areas of the field.
  19. A little more progress on the shed today, main element has been building the covered discharge/loading area in front of the 2nd bay.
  20. We are building a new potato/grain store on Lantau Farm's. It will have two bays with a central ductin for the drying floor.
  21. I have managed to get the Claydon finished and the paint added. Just the final details to be added now and the Sulky colours added to the tank.
  22. I have turned the left over parts from my Larrington Gulwing Trailer into a Larrington Single Axel Dolly. I have also managed to get a bit more work done on my Semi Tipping Trailer.
  23. With the time off at Christmas I am trying to clear a few projects off my bench. I have been working on getting this conversion of a Maupu trailer to a Larrington Majestic Tri-axel finished. Majority is done now, just need to build the ramps for the tailgate.
  24. Merry Christmas from Lantau Farm's.
  25. I have added paint to the Standen Powavator now. Just the decals and the final detail work to be added now.
