Looks pretty good though - I like the wet oil round the manifold and air cleaner - maybe a couple of dings in the nose too

I don't think you'd get enough strength in your hand to cut it John. Seriously, this stuff is hard for something only 2mm thick.

I cut 2mm brass sheet - but you do get handache after a while  ;D

Made a start on an older square baler.

I don't cut all that much brass but use a 'Goscut' which I've had for years & years! It's like two anvils with a blade that cuts down the middle, basically cutting a strip about 1mm wide out. Easy to keep straight, and to a line and has narrow blades to cut curves. Not made anymore I don't think, but the odd one turns up on Ebay. I cut ours up a couple of years ago but here is the tail section upside down on the scrap pile. Sorry about pic quality, hope you can get the gist of it. It used to overhang the weeks 3 ton trailer by about 18"

I use darning needles with the eyes cut off - work well and not too sharp.

Been out in rain all morning - I can feel a whole afternoon in the workshop coming on
