Replacing fan bearings on the grain drier..........

Scaledown 7f = 210g.  4f mounted conversion 95g.

Maybe you should crop a KV when it arrives. 

After 4 dry days, back to the rain routine...........

35 hours with no rain - wots wrong?

I'm sure he could be behind a spreader one day (without his hi-vis) when the PTO 'accidentally' slips into gear...........

For me it was getting bogged with the sprayer in my neighbours wheat - was able to transfer some water and climb out eventually. What a state the Renault's in now. 

The daily rain just starting now.....

Lovely morning - but it's........just started raining 

Finding BP Gas deliveries taken over by Wincanton - they have a minimum order time of three to six days, which is great when I'm using a tankful every 2 days at peak and drivers knew that and would top up as required. Now they can't do that either. 

Ordered gas on Tue. - arrived today.

Depot used to be 7 miles away but it closed last week and now a 65 mile haul. Dispatcher is in Bristol so driver that was here on a little four wheeler today was off to Carlisle to make one drop (104 miles). 

What is with these big companies?

I used to drill on 15m tramlines with the front power harrow and could swing round easily in the 12m headland - 9 would be a bit tight...........

No Colm, just the speed monitor alarm on rotary separator and about half a second later rumbling followed by squealing of belts  ;D The straw was a bit damp and on the hill the walkers couldn't clear it quick enough. 

How about making your own Ricky out of a number of other harrows - we are planning this at the moment - levelling board followed by 2/3 rows of spring tines and then a crumbler

Would be the cheapest/easiest way - buy a cultivator at farm sale - frame with 3pt. linkage probably some tines etc  for little more than scrap value. Mind you that's about £150/tonne

I had a bit of cultivating to do on setaside yesterday so had a play around with the headland management - brilliant! But it seems strange to do everything in the field with just one button.

Same here - went out last night about 5 and knew barley wasn't 'fit', grain 18%. Going down steep hill blocked drum, stripper rotor and rotary separator solid.......then it started to rain - just spent most all morning inside the combine (blah!) and just had a shower. Upside is the drier works.
