  4. I think it was a sack the worker was carrying, hopefully someone else will confirm that \
  5. good start, I like the wall building looks like a realistic way to build a stone wall, is that the pea gravel stuff you find in plant pots or the bottom of fish tanks? Although matey in the red shirt in the last pic seems to be upset about something, got his hands up in the air as if to say sod this wall building or I'm not chasing that loose pig around anymore I quit, farmers looking at him saying go on then bugger off That might only be in my own twisted imagination though \
  6. Feed barriers, 15' gates, more golden flock for bedding from Mandy @ HLT MF 760 combine from a local farmer
  7. Nice layout, where did you get the feed barriers with troughs in the bottom picture from (if you don't mind me asking)
  8. Even if your £38 figure included carriage that's way over the top for the duel purpose barn normal retail is around £20, that set on ebay is a new Britains release G+M have them for £29, I would ask for a refund, send yours back and get one from G+M

  10. Hah at last a sensible sized decent looking pluf, hopefully some retailers might have them by Toytrac ( pretty please? \ )
  11. the realism in the workshop is incredible, also love the freeze frame shot of the samson dungspreader
  12. Stunning, love the stone walling and the vegetation growing from it, so real
  13. Love that 575 very nice model, you might want to call a vet for that pig in the anderson hut, as it's on it's side with it's legs in the air
  14. I think there are two main reasons why there aren't alot of farmhouses about - 1. Cost, the John Gittens buildings Mandy sells are very nice well detailed replica's, abeit a bit old fashioned more akin to a farm workers cottage than the main farmhouse and are quite strong money, as is the Brushwood farmhouse, which with some of Mandy's flemish or english style brick sheeting plus a bit of further modification could be a very nice house, but at over £100 to purchase in the first place it makes it expensive for us mere mortals on less than £18000/year 2. Geographical location, in Devon there are alot of the traditional devon longhouse's, however whilst working for different farmers and contractors in the past, I have seen different styles of house just in Devon, going further afield to different counties and across the borders to Scotland,Wales and Ireland there are probably more again still. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if we're all honest, most of our model collecting/diorama building stems from real life experience and thus we want models to replicate this, but unfortunately for a manufacture to make replica's of every style of farmhouse similar to the areas we live in, wouldn't be economically viable or practical. Speaking from a personal point of view I think it would have to retail for no more than £70 to be of interest
  15. I think if you look at the catalogue, it is divided into two sections, 'toys' and 'heritage/collectables' , and as already has been pointed out, the decent models i.e the collectables/heritage are large acreage tractors (with the exception of the 956 and 1056 tractors) therefore I feel Britains are catering for the 'toy' market rather than us collecters/modellers Still I suppose they're relativly cheap, thus making the 'toy' tractors ripe for conversions \ The double with shed width feed barriers look alright though
  16. the gates and feed barriers are spot on
