  1. Don't you just love sheep! I've spent my afternoon at the mucky south - end of north - facing sheep, a few days in a fresh fog and some of them look like they've had a heavy night on the beer and curry, got finished with hands and arms starting to resemble the colour of the Incredible Hulk. Needless to say, I was none too popular in the house at tea-time!
  2. That makes it a lot easier, it was bloody hot at times here! What was the job today?
  3. I'd forgotten just how fiddly they are to do, one or two bits had fallen off such as steering wheels, drag arms and such and gluing them back on was a bit of a challenge. Then again, maybe my fingers aren't as slim and dexterous as they used to be !
  4. Thanks Justin, they've sat in a box for years, like I said I'd almost forgotten I had them. Seems a shame to put them back now!
  5. Some Scaledown models that I built nearly 20 years ago, I'd almost forgot I had them ! Fordson Major and Ransoms plough
  6. Different to a heap of pink silage bales anyway !
  7. Thank you Paul, you're right about the old Ertl stuff, it certainly took some use and abuse over the years! When you look at the Snoopy for example, the one I played with as a boy is still quite an accurate model of the real thing, but when you compare it to the Precision Key one then it has been taken to a completely different level. In fact, for my money some of the best and most detailed models out there are from the Ertl Precision series, both in 16th and 32nd scale, and for build-quality combined with intricate detail I still don't think anything comes close, just my opinion of course I have seen ErtlErik's posts over the years, you are right, very nice
  8. some 1/16 scale, many of these have worked hundreds of square yards of soil and sand many moons ago, as can be seen by the splayed wheels, paint chips, peeling decals and dirt, but I wouldn't swap them for the world !
  9. Thank you all for the comments, they are most appreciated. The trouble is Martin, I keep adding to the blues, wonder if there is some medication available to cure this strange addiction!
  10. and finally some ertl kits that are a bit special to me
  11. some more combines and foragers
  12. some of the other shade of red !
