  1. Mother Nature put on another good show tonight, only lasted for about ten minutes, but what a ten minutes!
  2. It's much easier now Barry after the clocks went back on Saturday!
  3. Very nice Paul, as Martin said it is good to see classics on a layout, they just have that bit more character to me. I know you said s**t spreading but I always thought salt was white and not brown
  4. Just realised why Ford drivers are always so pale, they spend their working hours in a blanket of diesel fog, they never see the sun!
  5. Hmm, and I thought it was only up the top end of our dale where such things happened, to quote Oz from Aufwiedersehen pet, " Where men are men , and sheep get nervous"
  6. Yes, it's much easier chopping up a £20 Britain's than a £50 or £60 + model!
  7. If you had to put up with those conditions you should at least have had a good tractor to look at!
  8. Looking very good Martin, looking forward to seeing this finished! There's something very satisfying about building a scaledown kit!
  9. Rather a nice sunrise this morning
  10. Now they are proper tractors
  11. I suppose asking and actually getting are two different things
  12. Some lovely models on display there Cyril
  13. The more I see that forager the more I think it will be on my Penrith list That is true about Britains Justin, they do get a lot of stick but as you say they are one of the few manufacturers who do replicate the machinery common on British farms. At the end of the day they are still aimed at the toy market, but as a cheap base for adding a little detail they are usually not far off the mark. At least if you go shopping for some Britains models with £100 in your wallet you will need more than one bag to carry them!
  14. Thanks Martin, sorry it's the wrong colour but I do have a couple of blues on the go as well
  15. Thanks all, that's one of the few benefits of the dark nights, I don't get much time to play during the summer and it always takes me a little while to get back into it again. Anyway, it's better than burning logs and drinking wine or whisky of an evening.. ...well maybe !
  16. Thought I'd better try and make some progress on my M series Deere, it's been sat for over a year now and at this rate Britain's will beat me to it! It's based on a Britain's 6150R with a Siku cab grafted on, mudguards widened, scratch built working linkage, just been altering the side consol and dash to match that in the M's. Still lots to do, but getting there!
  17. I second all of the above comments Justin, glad to hear you're all well. Hope you have a wood-burner in the house
  18. Ground looks to be standing up well there Cyril, think we'd be leaving a few black marks here if we tried that now!
  19. If ever a tractor deserves "classic" status then the snoopy is the one in my opinion. Absolutely lovely David, the sad thing is they don't make them like that any more!
