  1. You'll be lucky if it only lasts 5hrs Marcus, the 2 that I've been on have been 7-8hr courses, all to get a bit of paper to say I can drive a machine legally, revert to all the bad habits as soon as its over anyway
  2. Well I was wearing them 20 mins earlier, did think about walking into your office with them on but decided against it :D
  3. hmmmm ok will let you off then What made me laugh today........Marky's face when he saw the JD overalls in my Discovery :D
  4. The originals are a rubber tyre with plastic rim set up so could probably be reproduced in that way as well without too much trouble
  5. It should clear the beam ok, the MF loaders are Quicke beneath the paintwork, plenty of clearance in them
  6. There's no reason why the weights should have to come off really Marky, we had a full set and the loader on the MC where I was working last year with no problems \
  7. Have you looked into using the UH Claas Quantum/Quadrant wheels as an alternative at all Dan?
  8. Not a bad little tractor actually Sean, could do with about another 1000kg and 30hp though for the job its doing in my opinion though. Other than lunch with Marky, I've also been back to Standens taking more measurements today.......now all I need to do is put them back into english while they are still fresh in my mind :D
  9. That looks good so far Paul, I have to say that I'm disappointed in you though as theres only one digger on it....whats going on, its not up to your usual standard of loading :D
  10. If you look at the side on view of the tractor/subsoiler you will see that the seeder is empty, more likely that it was just ripping up the ground before the drill went in
  11. Here you go Mart http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Massey-Ferguson-3000-3100-Dealers-Workshop-Manual_W0QQitemZ320263926765QQihZ011QQcategoryZ147803QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MASSEY-FERGUSON-3000-3100-TRACTOR-WORKSHOP-MANUAL_W0QQitemZ160249071913QQihZ006QQcategoryZ147803QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  12. Well if you have a spare £50 Mart, theres a complete dealer workshop for manual for the 3095 on ebay at the minute
  13. I think the sensible people about here are already charging at least £20 an hour for a man and tractor excluding fuel. The chap I've been working for has a condition written in all quotes now that price is subject to change due to rising fuel and wearing parts cost, fuel is being billed separately as well in some cases. Unlike one or two local contractors he's fairly clued up on it, others charge as little as possible and are then unable to afford to repair or replace the tractors as the need arises, yes they got the job but its not good business sense : Going rate here for self employed tractor drivers is between £9 and £12 an hour typically
  14. On rated power Colm, that CVX I was bed forming with had the onset of EMS failure on it \
  15. Any CVX or TVT is ok as long as you don't go for the 195 models as they are trouble, you will often here reports of transmission failure and engine management system failure on them....the transmissions can't cope with the HP on those models : A 175 will run rings around a 195 due to it being a much better set up
  16. The 7600 didn't ever have the SQ cab fitted so I doubt it, if you mean the Q (bubble) cab as fitted to the early 10 series though it should be possible to adapt the replacement ones done by DT to make them fit along with the floor pans
  17. Its a Case thing, any Case tractor that was built in a previously all blue factory will give you trouble as the workers don't want to build them, thats why the MXM's were so much trouble
  18. I'd agree with that diagnosis, best get the wallet ready because I doubt it will be a very cheap repair
  19. The person you hired the tractor off must be understanding Andy as the minute you mention hedge/verge cutting to someone here when hiring one they practically escort you off the place :D Do you find the hydra-cushion arm float a big help with the verges?
  20. Absolutely persisting down, torrential rain and a thunderstorm......got soaked to the skin in the 15m between a shop and my truck According to the forecast we should be in sunshine at the minute : :
  21. I'll be going on the Wednesday, see how many agriculturally related stands there are this time over the other ones selling rubbish that seem to increase in numbers every year :
  22. A clever chap at an auction this morning, bought a vintage Tong potato riddle with a mind to adapting it to grade logs, nothing unusual there but when it came to getting it home we all stood around watching with interest as he backed up to it with his car, opened the boot and then lifted the intake elevator up and dumped it in there, he then tied the whole lot down to the tow bar........he got all of 50 yards before there was a loud bang as it bounced out of the boot and hit the earth.......he had intended on towing it 4 miles like that :D :D :D
  23. My PC crashing halfway through printing a 110 page document out > >

    silage

Personally I'd say damp grass underfoot so a bit slippery, trailer loaded slightly to the left side, lumped over the swath he's sitting on a bit hard with right hand wheels and over she went, seen it nearly happen a couple of times when I done silage a couple of years back that way
