  1. Thanks guys, no it isn't the start of a farm layout as I have no where to put one at the minute Kris Little update for you now, I've just put the guard rails on round the top, just leaves a few more sleepers to make after I've been up Homebase again
  2. Cheers guys, the base board is an A3 sized bit of card and the wall height is 96mm
  3. Well in a moment of madness today I decided have a go at building a silage clamp along the lines of what a lot of the local farms here have, sleeper and RSJ construction. seemed to be one of the easiest constructions in a farmyard to start with as well So here it is,the uprights are made out of HSF-8 Plastruct and HSF-10 in the back corners, "sleepers" are cut from 4mm x 12mm pine strip wood, all on a plasticard base. Still have to paint it all and may well put a guard rail around the top as well
  4. It means he can now start collecting and handling other peoples waste plastic and card etc for baling and recycling
  5. Mildenhall is on the Norfolk/Suffolk border here in East Anglia Pudding, it has a very large RAF base there which holds an air show, website for the base is linked below http://www.mildenhall.af.mil/ http://www.militaryairshows.co.uk/ven4.htm
  6. Here you go Ian, some I had laying about for the same reason
  7. Surprising what the other half of the operation I've been working for all spring get up to really, I'd never seen that being done locally before James showed me the pic's the other day. Think I'd have rather they had the Quaddy down here ripping up the spud ground and ridging all spring, the headlands wouldn't have been so rough then
  8. They certainly do Marky, after nearly going under a few years back they had a thin out of their model line up, selling them off to the likes of Standen Pearson, and went back to what they do best, making some of the strongest and heaviest ploughs on the market
  9. Microsoft Paint is just as usefull for making some decals, I do some on there but the majority of my decals are done on Adobe software as you don't get a distorted image then. If you only want he odd one or two then use paint as the better software can end up costing a few hundred pounds
  10. In which case you won't be mentioning your desire for a young farmers board again then will you, can't have it both ways :
  11. Did you manage to get through it without trying to poison one of them this time then :D
  12. May be an idea to put the camera bag on a bungee cord as well, those of us who went to London in January know what you're like for leaving it places when you get excited :D
  13. No, I'm saying your BMW only seats 2 people unlike the Scooby :D We want to get there and back in a day Colm ideally :D
  14. Certainly was a good day out last year, might be someone elses turn to drive though hey Marky
  15. Late drilled maize behind first cut silage I would imagine Sean
  16. Some nice pictures in there, nice clean and tidy job again So which chopper would you say is best Stephen, the Mengele or the Taarup? I only ask as a mate of mine won't touch anything other than a Taarup for some reason, maybe he's frightened his JD won't handle it
  17. I shouldn't worry too much about that one Tris, they talk of rain both tomorrow and Friday so you shouldn't miss too much
  18. Sounds nasty, it was a Bomford B508 that done it to me, all the lift rods split on it and gouged the tarmac as it hit, another local chap had the top link pin snap on a brand new McConnel and it went straight over backwards, that was messy apparently
