  1. 7600's never seem to make mega money unlike the 77/7800, they weren't available over here for that long as I believe they are the same size HP wise as the 69** give or take a few HP. Few for sale here at the minute around that price range
  2. You don't want that old thing, it's the wrong shade of red, this ones much more acceptable :D :D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CASE-MAGNUM-7120-TRACTOR_W0QQitemZ250176370203QQihZ015QQcategoryZ92021QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. Taarup also made one with a reel on, my friends had one on their farm in the early 80's
  4. Yes I have thanks Colm, looks ok but the phrase lazy starter worries me, ok so it could be the battery but if it isn't it'll be down to poor sevicing as those engines are bomb proof if they're properly maintained, would mean some hefty bills \
  5. Just found this rather smart looking red beasty on ebay, must be quite rare over here? No dribbling here please Marky :D :D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Massey-Ferguson-1150-V8-tractor_W0QQitemZ110180935591QQihZ001QQcategoryZ92021QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  6. It makes it more difficult if you are from a non farming background \ Aim for specialised areas of the market where less people are operating, ask around and evaluate the local area and what current contractors are operating and offering
  7. Slurry/dung is a very seasonal area to aim for, especially with the NVZ rules getting tightened up again, I'm sure some of the Irish boys on here will confirm that one but to my knowledge the spreading window keeps getting tightened. Sadly the way things are now there's no such thing as unskilled farmwork of any description making it harder for new comers to get into the job. Your best bet is to go off to college or work for someone for 3-4 years and learn the job before you make any decisions about setting up alone. I'm now 27 and am only just looking into doing it, get some experience behind you first As a matter of interest, do you come from a farming family?
  8. Here's the recipe....... No.6 shot x 32 grams in up to 3 portions ;D
  9. Very safe, I'm too ill to do anything to anyone, 18's the youngest I'll go anyway :D Seriously though, I have nothing against any religion, it should be left up to the individual though and shouldn't be forced down our throats by people knocking at the door, they6've even done it on xmas day to us several years ago when Mum was serving lunch, my late Father wasn't very polite to them either :D
  10. Jehovah's Witnesses........have they got nothing better to do than come knocking on peoples doors, let alone sending two young girls out doing it (under 16) , saw them split off from the other black suited, black book/satchel carriers
  11. Damn, one lover of soviet scrap metal was enough let alone another one :D
  12. Nice pictures, that maize looks about the same size as 75% of what we cut last year where i used to work. The crops I've seen locally so far aren't particularly brilliant this year either
  13. This picture was sent to me by ctsboy in Staffs. earlier in the year, looks like the right model of KV plough to me, could be wrong though
  14. Thats true enough, I wouldn't buy one for top money if the boots were down to 20% or less, need to allow ?2k plus for a decent set of new ones \ Bet that was a worn PTO clutch pack or hydraulic pump fault then, not often its the gearbox itself that needs any fettling on them
  15. Hope you weren't there enquiring about one of those green things :D
  16. Here you go Mart, says that she's 200hp at the pto, so probably around the 230hp mark at the engine
  17. Damned language filter won't let me answer that one Pee-Wee :D
  18. Feel free to spend your money Working on the other thing still for you
  19. Let me think about that one for a minute.......actually I don't need that long........NO :D :D
  20. They last even less time if you hit massive mole hills with them........ : Been thinking of doing one for a long while so thought I'd have a brief break from beet harvesters and get on with it
  21. Certainly wouldn't be, as graham said they are popular in orchards, the local grower here uses 135/165's on them in his and I believe there is one in the pictures marky posted of his grower's this week
