  1. In the case of that one Nick, it most probably is as they are not too easy to come by, no doubt I'll soon be put right if I'm wrong though :D
  2. It certainly is John, something to do with too higher residue of it left in the soil i beleive \ Another good. effective chemical banned
  3. Cheers, crumbler comes off the Siku Lemken Gigant, need to find some more now \ Cheers Sean, hope to get back on track with models again now
  4. Well I don't remember saying I'd lost interest anywhere here myself..... Anyway got on and got a 3m one done this afternoon, pics below From the side From above Rear/side view Underside showing tine detail Underside from different angle Any questions then ask away
  5. weeeeeeelllll its had a second coat of paint and its sitting here beside me, thats about as far as its got. Other than the beet harvesterI've done sod all on models in the past few weeks, just not had the enthusiasm with work as well but now thats quietened down again I should be able to get going on them again
  6. Thanks John, I just spat a mouthful of tea out when i saw that :D :D :D
  7. Yes it works on them Tim, I've used that method on a floataion tyre fitted to a 16 ton trailer only instead of a rope it was a ratchet strap
  8. Sod's law strikes again.... Can you borrow a wheel of any of the other tractors?
  9. Funnily enough thats exactly what I thought :D
  10. Are these really worth this much? :o :o http://search.stores.ebay.co.uk/THE-RETRO-TRADER_ros_W0QQfciZ1QQfclZ3QQfsnZTHEQ20RETROQ20TRADERQQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQftsZ2QQsaselZ65140172QQsofpZ0
  11. They look more like storage boxes than weights to be
  12. That works fine when you are setting them out in the field but when you have to close them up it doesn't, not for anyone I know anyway
  13. True but our set were 26 inch diameter ones so were damned heavy to man-handle. I wish i had a pound for every time that I swore at them whilst trying to gang them up to move them about, un-folding them was easy, no hardship there if you got it right
  14. Yes and as you can probably tell from Marcus's post above it is not an easy task to get them into that position, the damn things are like a supermarket trolley \ :D
  15. As requested by Will, here's a couple of pics of the McCormick with the loader fitted, didn't have the camera today so phone pics again, will get some better ones asap
  16. Wait until you get to go in one of the newer range of Valtras, especially the T series. I think the gadgets, knobs and switches have been breeding :D
  17. More great pictures, No JD's in sight either The Valtra's are nice tractors to go in aren't they Nick. The first modern tractor I drove was a Valmet 8*00, very nice and quite a step up from 10 series Fords
  18. JD 6*30 and Tim sugarbeet harvester lifting fodder beet Looked in good condition considering the time of the year as well. McCormick MTX and Marston carting
  19. Just one picture from today, show's the unusual way the Rau sprayer's booms fold up
  20. Makes sense like that, I would say consider a TS-A 135 or the equivelent T6*** model as the TS-A we have is much better than the McCormick, in comfort, visability, pulling grunt and build quality. After a day topping in the McCormick your ears would be ringing as its a noisy little thing. As a plus for loader work the NH also has a sunroof in it
  21. I'll try to get you a picture next time we have it fitted, don't have it on much at the moment as we have the Loadall about all the time. Do yourself a favour though get an MTX, not an MC as the tractors fairly gutless when it comes to road work, depends what you want to use it for
  22. Thanks Tris, certainly all seems to be going well at the moment, I'm much happier now than I was before with the other lot
  23. After yesterdays little problem I finally got to the other farm today with the flail topper to do the game cover plots. Could be yet another livery change for the Siku Kuhn topper here The plots then needed sub soiling, originally we were going to use the TM175 but we decided the McCormick needed some hard work as it's never had any yet so it would do it good. Put a 3 leg Taylor Gent flat lift on it with a cousins crumbler, sunk it in a good 15 inches deep, the Mc pulled it at 3mph grudgingly in the heavy clay soil but think it's done it some good as it was as gutless as hell \ Have now been disced, no pics this time but will get some when i do them a second time Boss was spraying the wheat in the field i was working on with the 7840 and 24m Rau D3 mounted sprayer so managed to get a couple of pics The damage to the topper from yesterday, just a little scratched paint work
