  1. OI! Its not my fault if i try to speed up the barley harvest by setting fire to the crop :D
  2. Everything went fine on the first attempt, the mould set perfectly and i have had no problems with the resin either. Thanks for your advice on the subject, hardest bit was making the original out of styrene sheet given the small size and my big hands :D
  3. Thanks guys. Basically the hopper has an electric fan in it which blast the seeds down pipes to some outlets in front of the press, just broadcasts the seed on the surface. I have yet to get as far as the pipes and outlets, next on the list though
  4. Had a go at resin casting these seeder hoppers to go onto Simba Solo's and subsoilers etc, i'm quite plesed with the results, not finished yet but heres a little preview of it to go on with
  5. Went to work at 10 am, spent the next 12 hrs on the combine seat trying to finish our spring barley off so we can get onto the wheat, done 85 acres today, just 15 left now. Got home at 10.30pm absolutely knackered \
  6. Thanks, and is a definate possibility, looking at all options with these at the minute
  7. This was yesterday, 2 Fendt 716's on duals all round pulling down a field with 6m Vaderstad Carriers (i think) and then on return journey Fendt 818 on duals all round drilling same field with 12m Lemken drill :o
  8. Well the way cereal harvest is going up here now we will still be combining on christmas day at this rate so there's plenty of time : :D

    FENDT 716

My 714 and loader is a cross between the two and so is my dual wheeled variation, they both have the later type rod axles and mirrors but part of the front linkage is cast into the tractor chassis \

    RNLI County

Nice pictures and tractor there. Came from up this way in the Norwich area origionally as number plates registered here in that area all ended 'CL' until the new plates came out
  11. from what i was told when i was given my notice everything that the new owner doesn't want will be sold \
  12. Of course you could just venture south and buy our F140 out of the clearence auction i think we are going to have soon when the boss packs up :D
  13. Funny you should say that, i'm going to be fitting them to the Simba Solo's as well as an option
  14. I know the pictures a bit on the small side Sean but if you enlarge it slightly you should be able to see some tines/bars going up the back of it, taken off a Browns dealers website
  15. Just had a thought Sean, did they not have two tines up the back of the carrier which used to slide beneath the stack of bales when you went to pick them up, i know the ones for Hesston bales do and i get a feeling the ones like your model is based on may have done as well
  16. Looks very good Sean, very accurate to the real thing from what i can remember about them, been a couple of years since i saw one in use here for conventional bales
  17. Been p!ssing down here for the last hour or so, should do just about every other day this week looking at the forecast today
  18. I used to use the 110-90 on a hedge cutter with no problems, you soon build up the muscles in your left leg with the clutch :D
  19. The 80-90 would have the same gearbox as our 110-90 being 5 gears on one stick and ranges and reverse on the other, no form of shuttle on them but easy enough and no electronics to go wrong, can't help with the 88-94, if no one else can i can speak to our mechanic at work who spent years working on the tractors, if you decide to go that way i can give you his phone number for advice on what to look for
  20. The 80-90 is around 80hp Martin, the 90 series were alll numbered in that way, the first number denoting hp, the second the model range, would guess that the same applies to the 88-94 as well
  21. OSR goes on at a very low seed rate, under 5kg a hectare from memory, so the hopper doesn't need to be very big to hold enough seed to cover large areas of ground
  22. Which one/where abouts here would that be then Nigel?
  23. About 10 years ago a local estate used to run 5 John Deere combines, can't remember exactly what model they were at the moment though, but 10/11** series
  24. Thanks Nath. Funny you should say that, i was planning to do this one to guage response and then maybe do some more if it was favourable
  25. No unfortunately not, Normac is on Thursday 14th September, will post details in events section
