  1. This one is the 225bhp model, not many of the 255bhp’s about at that age. It definitely does move though, got as good acceleration as the Discovery had.
  2. Swapped my Discovery 4 for this VW Amarok V6 a couple of weeks ago. No more living in fear of the crank snapping on the Discovery
  3. We took a Pottinger Rotocare out on demonstration to a customer yesterday afternoon, it uses rotary wheels with spoon shaped tines to remove weeds and also aerate the soil. It works best at speeds of 20-30kph. IMG_4730.MOV IMG_4729.MOV

  5. I’ve moved again due to an unfortunate change of circumstances for my now former employer. I’m now working for Nicholsons Stalham Engineering covering my home area in Norfolk for them along with the west of the county. As the locals will know, they are a long established family company who hold the Case IH, Weidemann, Bednar, Pottinger and McHale franchises either for a section of Norfolk or the entire county depending on the one in question. As part of this we were requested to be at Cereals this week to take a look at the New Case IH Optum 340, as Bednar were also close by it gave us a chance to see a range of the machines working too.
  6. Impressive machines both in model form and in real life. I was involved with the Valentini machines for two years, it’s amazing what they will chew up.
  7. To look at it another way, why should traders be expected to subsidise diorama exhibitors as their table price would have to go up to cover the money lost on free diorama tables. Further to that if a shows allocation of trader spaces is full and more want to come why would you utilise what could be paying floor space for free tables if a show is being run for a profit. As already stated Spalding has always been very much a traders show not a diorama show. If you go back far enough it wasn’t just for model tractors either.
  8. It’s now over four months since I started my latest job and I have to say I’m loving it. It has been an interesting four months to say the least with big developments in the company. We are currently in the process of moving to new premises with better facilities to aid the companies growth, in doing so we are taking on assisting Scanstone with the parts and service in the area. The past two weeks have been spent moving our stock from one side of the village to the other. For those locals on here that know Lakenheath we are moving to the current Scanstone premises from the Beck Row end. To say the move has been a challenge is an understatement thanks to me still recovering from Covid and a few other factors but we are getting there now. A few pictures of our new site and shop….my labelling machine has never worked so hard!! All being well we should have our first machines in stock within 7-10 days too. We thought that as we were expanding a new logo was required, hopefully it’s nice and eye catching beside the main road!
  9. I’m over at the EIMA show in Italy at the moment, lots to see between meetings! Over here until early Saturday. Some pictures from today - Caffini Sprayers
  10. Correc regarding location they’re from and driver arrested on alleged drug driving at scene. Was meant to be going to Chatteris but went the wrong way. Already losing count of their incidents this season.
  11. Started a new job today having left AMIA after two years there. Much closer to home this time with no nationwide travelling involved. I’m now working for an agricultural engineering firm at Lakenheath in Suffolk building the machinery sales side of the business with some of the same franchises I’ve been working with for the past two years. Hopefully be some pictures to come in the next few weeks of goings on at the company.
  12. Try posting it on The Farming Forum, more likely to get a response there.
  13. New graphics card for my gaming PC, it’s a bit of an upgrade from the RTX 2070!
  14. The 541-70’s are great machines, should do you well. They were even better before the ridiculous cut outs on the lift were fitted.
  15. Assembled this Tubeline in-line bale wrapper this week with my colleagues ready for it to be delivered to his customer. Arrived in a container on Tuesday and we’ve had to assemble everything from the bed upwards on it.
  16. Been in Herefordshire today setting up this Caffini Grasskiller Twin with its new owner.
  17. What can I say, it was late in the day and I just had to sit somewhere 🤣
