  1. i have had one that was very stiff and one off the hinges was broken right at the tip off the bracket, how ever it is ther only one i've had problems with the rest have been pretty good except for the stiffness of the rams
  2. cheers fenboy, didn't do inchs in my day, mind you i think i should have taken more notice in maths judgeing by the error i made
  3. i just realised that brit,my measurements are out ,the tube is 150mm wide which makes a 4.8m dia silo, not quite the same size as the real one ,(.3m out) , but close enough, sorry ,i hated maths too, always thinking about going to the farm or footy,
  4. if he has it's still possible i think, wonder how easy it would be to do thought,(bodywork, wheels ect) but the ideas there
  5. hi the scale worked out to the following both origonals were 4.5 m wide at the base, which works out to 15 cm or? inches havn't got a ruleer to hand but i think thats 5 and a half inches there near as hight was 8 m on the small one which was 25 cm tall one was 12 m which is 37.5 cm as i said these were sizes from proper silos the tubes i get from work are spot on in diameter and come at 3/4 m lenghts so can be cut down to suit hope that helps
  6. sorry fp ment to say the rollers, but looking at other replys that is a bit steep to say the least,i havn't seen a beat harvestor for sale down this way ever ,so that one will have to come on line i think
  7. i would have thought that would be a pretty easy thing for britains to do,the gear must be available if siku can do it,and they have the tractors of that size to ,go for it britains give us all a great 2005 xmas present
  8. cheers fenboy, there may be more on the way,the metal ones are a bit pricey so am looking at making a resin copy of the sheet corigated ally, can just paint them then.the only problem i have is time at the moment, thats why the marstons are in batches evere few weeks ,can't fit it all in
  9. it would have been,it's only made off a polyethelen so is lightish like i said ther may be more on the way if i can get to the store first, someone else is eyeing them up for the garden
  10. no ihp it's actually a sheet of corigated ally from 4d models, gives a lovely effect ?with the ribbing, rolled it round the black tube and popriveted it together, hadn't thought about making the blower work, would be possible but the material would have to be very light.the black tube is an old fibre optic ?joint we used at work, they are ?obsolet now but i do know of a store with a few in,so might be able to nake a few more if everything goes to plan
  11. well after a lot of looking round i gave up and made some of my own,one in ally (can't spell the full word) and is equlivant to a 8m high x 4.5 m wide silo they used to have on the farm, the black cylinder is equlivant to a 12 m permastore silo they had and ,is going to be painted blue with a white top ,got the measurements from my uncle so ther are acurate.going to hopefully fit ladders and hatches to them and make a p.t.o driven blower for the large one to load it,put a tractor next to them to give a size perspective, what do you all think [attachment deleted by admin]
  12. farmer i've seen them in a toy shop for ?14 , not sure if thats a good price or not
  13. who you gonna call farmer palmer hell he's better than ghost busters this guy, keep up the good work mate, any news on a section on here where all the names we pick up can be listed,i can never remember them all
  14. now thats worth having in a collection, used to have a very simalar thing on the farm but in red,not sure who it was from though,if anyone has one for sale i'm interestd
  15. don't forget you will need the quick fix bracket to fit this to(about 9 euros i think),they are for the siku loaders, unless you can make a version for a britains loader,he also does a fork ,bucket and bulldozer fitting, also noticed this the other day,i think farmer was after something like this a little while ago http://www.siku-modelle.de/shop/1768.htm he good to order from to fenboy, will take pounds if you ask when ordering,so no need to get the euros in [attachment deleted by admin]
  16. are you looking for something like this fenboy http://www.siku-modelle.de/shop/1752.htm [attachment deleted by admin]
  17. thats right farmer, havn't seen any others about ,just ordered my next batch, did you get the e-mail i sent ok
  18. the problem with that james is you still need to find a really close colour to look right with the chassai,as i only needed to touch up the sides it wasn't worth while, and then you need to locate lables/makers badges to finish it off, these are hard to find,i only have a few left .the j d green is easy but blue isn't
  19. i had that problem with the paint on the blue marston trailer i did dave, took me 4 attempts to mix the right shade up,then it wasn't perfect, but near asthought,if you do find some let me know, would be a great help
  20. thats a good idea, put a list up on the forum some where that tells everyone who they are so we can check before bidding,i couldn't remember all the names that have been listed so far,is that possible ,something that can be updated every now and then?
  21. any good model shop will stock it civil, usally in a stand by it's self
  22. civilpek it's only plasticast bonded on to the tailgate, easy to get the bits , just use a quality glue(i use 2 part arildite),you might need to mix the paint though as i havn't seen marston red arround, hope that helps
  23. thanks civilpek, they don't open this time, nut will try on the next ones, there up on ebay at the moment
