  1. Looks like a pretty narrow doorway. Do you have to develop a "knack" to getting in and out Davie?
  2. :D :D :D :D Aye, give me a Pamela Anderson poster any day. Well said FP.
  3. I'd really like to see UH do the Deutz Agrotron from the 100 on up. They are a good way there, they already have the cab so it shouldn't be too hard. As for new stuff, I just hope they keep working with the smaller manufacturers. It's so nice to be able to get high detail models of "rarer" modern tractors. A Landini would be nice. I hoped that with Valtra being bought by Agco that UH might have got a look in with Agco but our Valtra dealer says that since the Agco purchase, they can't get any models now so it seems to have worked the other way. I'd like to see the *74 and *84 series tractors done by Britains/Ertl to the level of quality that the JD4020 is. This would work so well for them, there are a lot of tractors that could be made by changing simple things like bonnets, cabs and front axles. I'm really quite happy with what is coming out, some I like, some I don't but I never have enough cash to get to the end of my "really would like to have" list anyway so no point in shouting for more.
  4. I understand what you're saying FP, but what makes people want a model that is badly made? I could go into my basement and make a mold and sand cast a really rough tractor but I doubt anyone would want it just because it's the only one I made. I understand that rarety will drive the price up, I just find it a little puzzling that quality doesn't factor in too. I guess If the buyer looks at it like a toy rather than a model then that will change the picture a bit. If someone is collecting old toys, then the accuracy of the piece is not as important. Thanks for helping me think this through FP.
  5. The question has to be why is it becoming a collector's item? In my opinion that's one shi**y model. Does this mean that a rare, badly rendered model has high resale value based on rareity? I hope I haven't offended anyone but there are some models that just baffle me as to what makes them valable. (Case in point : Britfarmer's "gold plated" Big Bud)
  6. My UH models are in a display case so this isn't a definitive answer but I don't think the three point hitch is compatible with Britains implements at all. The pick up hitch will attach to some Britains models but not all of them, I think. There is a simple remedy to this problem lads. Buy the UH Claas forage wagon and the to-be-released Kuhn mower conditioner.
  7. I totally understand were you guys are coming from. For a while now I find my collecting priorities changing. UH is the first thing I look at. It's been that way since the Deutz Agrotron and the McCormick MTX175. I see it this way; I collect models, NOT toys so I'm drawn to UH and Ertl precision models first. I like modern models but have no problem with the past, say back to '65, as long as I have some kind of connection to it. I'm keeping my eye(s) open for Britains stuff to add to my collection but have no interest in having everything. I'm lucky in that I have a lot of what I want and most of it is stuff that survived my childhood. My Britains collecting will be on an item by item basis. Siku seems to be the big looser with me. I can't find any over here now and what is previewed on this site just doesn't do it for me. I don't think it's the models, it's more what is chosen to be modeled. The Claas baler with buil-in wrapper is the first model in a while that I really want from Siku. All that said though, If the house caught fire, (Heaven forbid :'() after making sure 't missus and 'er cats were safe, I'd have to get my Britains MF 135.
  8. Same as the grain header then FB, should be simple enough.
  9. Before we get too far into this, do you mean a grain swather head or a swath converging attatchment behind the mower? As far as a grain swather head, the real thing is supposed to take either a mower conditioner head or swather head so I don't see why, after a few mods, this one wouldn't. You'd probably have to make the swather head.
  10. Pretty sure it's out in 1/16 scale.
  11. Is that an Ertl Ford on the right in the bottom picture John? If it is, I think it's the first one I've seen on this type of post on the forum. Good for you mate.
  12. From what can be seen, it looks good. Glad to see you have steering cylinders, some builders don't even bother. You also have the tractors level with each other, that's nice to see also. I like it G3acie.
  13. I know nothing about these models except what info is in David Pullen's book and going by that, the only thing I can confirm is that the driver looks to be correct Everything else seem so require a view of the rear of the tractor. Sorry IHP
  14. Top o' the line work Falmer Palmer. Mucho talent.
  15. Well now Andy, I don't know anything about the value of Autoway stuff but the seller's name has me a bit worried!
  16. Hmmmm... my Universal Hobbies MTX is an MTX 175. Is your MTX200 1/16 scale Rick? I can't find any info on a 1/16 MTX200 from UH. Thanks.
  17. Their forum looks pretty popular too. Where's Star Trek's bl**dy universal translator when you need it.
  18. Sorry about that lads, I had to change the format and hadn't noticed. Numpty award? Thank you.
  19. Ah, but as she also said, phew that was worth the wait!
