  1. It hooks-up fine, I just tried it. To make it fully realistic , you may need to be a bit creative with the PTO shaft, it's a bit short, but that's a minor detail.
  2. Pretty sure you're not gonna regret it IHP HOWEVER.... as for hitching to a Britains tractor, what it's on it in the pictures is the UH Deutz Agrotron TTV 1160. I tried it on a Britains MF 6290 and it won't fit! The pin on the tractor goes too far up into the top of the tractor hitch jaw. It will, however fit on the New Holland TS 135. A rule of thumb would be, try the old Britains manure (dung) spreader, the one with the wide elastic band for the floor. If it will hitch up to your tractor, so should your UH forage wagon. The only knock against the UH forage wagon may be that the grass pickup doesn't lift, it's always in the "down" position.
  3. I'm sitting here trying to come up with an opening line to convey what I think about the new UH Claas Quantum 6800 S Forage Wagon and I really don't know what to say..... it's incredible! I've just recieved one from G and M models and I'm truly amazed. I don't have a huge collection of farm models but I've seen plenty on websites and at toy shows but I have never seen anything like this model. The detail knocks my socks off (phew). It is in no way a toy, it's a true farm model. For those of you who know Ertl's precision line, this is as good. Of particular note are the real floor chains, the spring for the tailgate, the mesh in the tailgate, the super detail around the pickup area-especially the jack stand and the decals. I'm not telling anyone to buy it but I will say, if you get the chance to see one, take it! Universal Hobbies rules.....end of story.
  4. No worries fenryk. Absolutely no offence taken on my part. As IHP said, notice the wink. It was a tongue in cheek response to a tongue in cheek statement. I enjoy reading your posts fenryk, keep 'em coming
  5. CAREFREE!!!!? What *#*@%*# planet are you on fenryk?
  6. I'm not familiar with the tractor you're talking about. Is it the Valmet "city" articulated tractor or the older Valmet that came with the logging trailer?
  7. Check out the Massey Ferguson, McConnel, Agcostar section. Those are some tyres on the MF1250!!
  8. Thanks for that info quangova, pity they're hard to contact. It looks like they had a few older pieces.
  9. Maybe it's just ignorance, and I use that term in the proper way I went nuts a couple of weeks ago bidding on a Britains Bauer slurry tanker, the one with flotation tyres (9594). I've really wanted one for a while, never seen one over here and hardly ever see them available worldwide on ebay. I got in a bidding war with someone who may have been from this way also, his monicker was something...ranch, anyway, i finally chickened out at about 25 quid Then I saw one on an online store for 17 quid but have never got a reply to my email to them, they may not be in business anymore, Collectiques, they're called. So.. my point, some of us who do get limited access to this stuff go a bit loopey when we do finally get the opportunity. That's why some of you lads make the big bucks selling on ebay, it's the folks who don't know any better or us lads in the boonies bidding against each other. BTW.. what should I be paying for that slurry tanker If I ever get the chance again?

I've got one of those too smurf, nice lookin' wee tractor, think it cost me about 8 quid.
  11. IHP, the neighbour who loaned us the Deutz 110 with the bulldozer on it had two big corrugated grain storage bins blow over. A business in town lost its roof, lots of folks had trees blown down and had roofing shingles blow off their houses. An artic blew over on the highway north of town and the local Cargill fertilizer depot had a big (empty) liquid fertilizer tank blow down and roll away across the field. Thought someone would like to know that Falmer Palmer. Thats a White 185. From about 1988 I think, way before Agco anyway. 185 horsepower Cummins engine. It has been a good tractor for the guys who have owned it from new. The bulldozer on the front of it is made by a Canadian company called Degleman.
  12. Finally, a 3PT hitch snowblower that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It got flipped and the discharge spout is crushed. Luckily the roof turned a quarter turn in the air and just missed three big dung spreaders so very little damage to anything other than the hayshed. Big clean-up to do though. 13. The hayshed that didn't make it. [attachment deleted by admin]
  14. Not so good John, HUGE wind storm yesterday, blew down one of our 40'x100' haysheds and we had to chain 4 tractors to the other one to stop it blowing on to our cow byre. This picture is three of the tractors chained to one hayshed trying to hold it in place [attachment deleted by admin]
  15. Superb! I really like your farm Christian. Is the JD with the loader a Siku model? Which one ?
  16. Could any of you fellas with the Merlo telehandler post pictures please? Is it the older one with the squarer cab or the newer one with the rounded cab?
  17. A pal and I went to a Fendt test-drive one day a few years ago. Got there before the demo lads did and were driving them before they had the demo area set up. Some other blokes showed up around mid-morning for an hour or so but other than them the two of us drove them all day :D Verdict: Great tractor, and absolute blast to drive but unfortunately I just couldn't justify the extra Dollarydoos on the price tag. The guy who went with me owns his own logging equipment and he was ready to sell-up and come and work for me if I'd bought one
  18. HELL YEAH!! That's my favouritest model of all-time ;D Best bang for the farm model Buck ever in my opinion but then I'm a Deutz guy (hence my name).
  19. I'm not familiar with 1/32 scale ROS stuff Gareth but I sure like the 1/25 stuff. Nice detail and a real challenge to find over here Does anyone have the new Merlo telehandler by ROS in 1/32?
  20. Thanks for the info guys. I'll look into those spreaders (er..well... not literally :D) and try to figure out which one I like the most.
