  1. Steam on the Farm, covers the period from 1800 to 1950. Very informative and has some great pictures.
  2. Happy New Year - or "Blydhen Nowydh da" as we say in Cornwall.
  3. Unfortunately most 1/32 4X4s seem to be left hand drive - I don't buy LHDs, they look silly on a British farm layout. I have a couple of second-hand RHD Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 vehicles made in China, but no manufacturer's name on them.
  4. Happy Christmas one and all🎅 or "Nadelik Lowen" if you want the Cornish language version!
  5. They were launched in 1983 and used steel wire rather than twine. Not popular by all accounts.
  6. The spreader hooks on to the lower links on tractors with "proper" lower link arms and the tractor top link hitches onto the spreader. Obviously, if someone wanted to attach it to a SIKU, UH or Britains linkage it would be necessary to adapt it accordingly.
  7. Made a start on a Teagle Titan 17 with side extensions. Heaped capacity of 20 tonnes. Minimum power requirement 170hp. Early days yet. Still much to do!
  8. I've got a Dad's Tractors Ferguson A (Ferguson Brown) on steel wheels and another on rubbers. They were limited editions but production ceased early, so there was never a full run. I think someone said it was because of a dispute over the ownership of the casting moulds or something. I also have a Dad's Tractors fuel bowser on rubber tyres - mine is a red oxide colour.
  9. Some pictures of the printed, painted and decaled bag lifter. It is quite delicate but the boom moves up and down and in and out. It is actually very fiddly to assemble, so I may sell it assembled but unpainted. I will give that some more thought. I also need to work out the unit price.
  10. Nice to see one by a smaller manufacturer - they are usually Blackstones down here.
  11. Lots of different makes and scales obviously, so a full range of prices. The big Ferguson Black (1/12?)and Ferguson A made by Jim Russell himself made thousands, likewise the scratch built Ferguson combine. A Ferguson salesman's demonstration model with ploughs made £10,000 and the instruction book for it made over £8,000! I was more interested in the 1/32 models and they also made good money. A Brian Norman MF 1200 made £400, a Scaledown MF 65 High clearance, built by Dennis Goodburn, made £260. A Scaledown MF 65 with Selene 4WD also made £260. The real 1936 Ferguson A with Coventry Climax engine made £33,000.
  12. Spent all day watching the Cheffins auction of the Jim Russell model collection. Bought four 1/32 scale Fergies.
  13. The seller was sji2400, he has a 3D printed Roadless 115 on at the moment. May be worthwhile following him in case he puts another Northrop on.
  14. This 3D printed Northrop made £200 on Ebay at the weekend.
  15. Bamford Torpedo tractor brochure. These Torpedo tractors were made in the IMT factory in what was then Yugoslavia, under licence from Deutz. The Deutz pedigree is obvious. They were marketed by Bamfords International. Never seen a real one in the UK though. Someone could do a nice, easy, 1/32 conversion using the Britains Deutz DX110 as a starting point!
  16. It's a shame the early Fords were so prone to wheel melt. No matter how well you look after them, it gets them in the end.
  17. Well, their British MF65 has got American 65 front wheels, so par for the course for UH.
