  1. 9524 ford 6600 was deleted end of 1981 9420 Green or Brown 6600 was released in 1982. Green version shown in '82 catalogue and Brown version in '83 catalogue for same part number, presumably shared. I think earlier versions, probably pre '85, have solid/filled in rear wheels, later versions where open/slotted as per the Ford 6600 model with scraper/roll bar 9516 Ford 6600 with roll bar and yard scraper released in 1985 All were deleted end of 1985 and replaced by the MF 595 versions, of either cheap tractor or with roll bar and yard scraper, in 1986 with new catalogue numbers before being deleted end of 1988. The green and brown 6600 would only have been available for 1985 with roll bar attachment holes, so correspondingly less common. JMD on here has a boxed sample copy of one of these, less holes I believe. there are pictures on here somewhere
  2. I have seen a lot of these for sale on eBay over the years, but never boxed. There must be a lot of blue trailers missing their silage tops. I don't doubt there are some out there in a box albeit the 9566 box! As far as I know never released by Britains in this guise which is a shame really as an easy product to produce
  3. My two penny worth, For me desirable would include the following, Pre-production/sample copy models/toys, they did escape from the manufacturer. Unusual colour variations, probably trial paint/plastic runs, some could be classed as unique. End of line/range produced quite a few of these, post Autoway models/toys gives a few different items in the not so normal colour way of yellow. Britains were quite good at not wasting what they had already manufactured. Trade display and OEM pieces and Point of sale material. Production for overseas clients, as you have mentioned the Valmets there are also blue cabs for the E1A Super Major and 5000 Super Major, only seen one of these! Some of these items could be classed as rare too. Rare/rarest item to me is the Ford 5000 Super Major Industrial set, boxed most definitely but also as a loose model/toy. An uncatalogued very limited production run from, I reckon, late 1965. The blue tractor was released in 1965 and with rear dump in 1966. Super Major E1A was deleted at end of 1965 although I suspect they had stopped manufacture earlier, sales possibly dropped off with the release of the 5000, who would want the older tractor? Apart from me! It's what makes collecting Britains interesting for me, so many variations, a different coloured wheel changes the look of a model/toy, learning all the time.......... Some variations from my small collection, except the last picture. My first Britains items from new in 1969, well played with and running repairs by my dad on trailer hitch Okay, 2/- worth
  4. Don't know what you mean by lower bonnet but there was the William Britain Collection Major 8715 (later 08715) from 1997-98? Henry Ford is waving his hat. Comes with a wooden plinth and white metal supports (to hold it in position)
  5. White metal copies of the Britains original are out there too, either as kits or complete and painted, as seen on ebay. Don't recall any other 1/32 examples. Kits by Scaledown and Browns Models I think Britains missed a trick here and could have added old style linkage, our loss A New Line from 1/5/48, the rubber tyred version was 6d dearer at 5/- !
  6. Originally a Herald goat from 1958, this is a post '64 version with ENGLAND on its belly. The dogs are also originally a Herald design from 1957. the Farm hand would have had either a broom, hoe, pitch fork or rake, again herald from 1958 originally. The dark green figure was for the Zoo range from 1963, but was used in one of the large show jumping boxed sets, a Britains figure, he used a head from a Herald Royal Marine figure of 1960, that was also used on the milkman. The donkeys look like the first Herald version released in 1961. For more information on Herald and Britains animals/figures there is an excellent reference book by Peter Cole, Suspended Animation, and also the books by Barney Brown, if you can find them!
  7. It was loosely based on 4713, as released in 1992 and deleted end of 1998. They share the same square panel/tile design to the yard area. So most likely released in this time frame. 4713 was re released in 2003 as 40529 before being renumbered again to 42104 in 2005 before being deleted again at the end of 2008. I don't think it has been resurrected since then
  8. There is a 1978 (only) version of these, farm and zoo, see back cover of the trade catalogue for that year. I've never come across them................ yet
  9. Dando still going, not too far from me Drilling Rig Manufacturer | Dando Drilling International

  11. Seems to be a lot of these reprints on ebay, and not just Britains posters.

  13. A couple of recent acquisitions the card item was shown by Tom in an earlier post but I have one now, yay. Not sure of year, maybe 2020? It is 1200 x 200mm ReverseCatalogue dispenser, suspect this is 2022 as it came with the current catalogue Without! I think it will only hold about 5 or 6!
  14. It's not all old school then, linkage appears to be the new version
  15. Acquired this from a 1974 trade catalogue along with trade order forms for January. The farm printing block I have shown before. I think JMD has the small B with soldier in. Has anyone else any? Obviously, they are reversed Size is approximately 80mm x 40mm
  16. Re 1970 catalogue, I lit the blue touch paper there then John 😁 I have two different price lists for this year, prices are the same but purchase tax shown on top right corner of first one and on reverse of other mention is made of the prices shown on page 21 (ACW Items)
  17. Nice condition. I have an example with both cat numbers on box
  18. A quick google search gave me this CUB CADET 682 FIRST EDITION LAWN TRACTOR, STOCK # 459 | eBay
  19. A Herald Trade Box from the late 60's/70's I think Not used for the farm range as far as I am aware, but I liked it and it sort of fits in, ish! 42381 Arched Header Board from 2008-09 for the Shop Display as seen elsewhere in this thread. It is 920mm x 270mm high approx That is it for now, doesn't seem to be much out there at the moment, not that there ever was loads and loads
  20. A few more. A Rosette Range trade box for livestock Pack No. 9156 from 1993-96
  21. A few additions to my collection from the last few months The top two items were traded with a member on here. Not sure of the year, possibly 2020? The shelf edger is 1250mm long x 40mm tall The shorter shelf edger bought from his mate at the same time, it is 1000mm x 40mm. Pot luck getting this one, being in the right place at the right time. Big thanks to both of you 👍 Another A5 competition entry form from 1988 I think, this item also came from the same forum member. The poster can be seen in an earlier post of mine The reverse side A closer view of the wheel wobbler as seen above, it is 140mm diameter Reverse showing wobbler mechanism spring! A McDonalds advert from 2003 supplied by another forum member 👍 I can remember seeing this as a full size poster in a bus stop shelter
  22. I reckon that is someone else's, US style tyres and front wheels appear to be secured with a screw. Interesting light bar too. I have the DRW Brian Norman 1884, the wheel centres of which are cast and stuck in the rims. One of his early tractor models along with the a Series 10 Ford. As per images at top of page! 🙄
