What's your latest farm/Construction buy in 2023
super6 replied to Tractorman810's topic in General Hobby Discussion
White metal copies of the Britains original are out there too, either as kits or complete and painted, as seen on ebay. Don't recall any other 1/32 examples. Kits by Scaledown and Browns Models I think Britains missed a trick here and could have added old style linkage, our loss A New Line from 1/5/48, the rubber tyred version was 6d dearer at 5/- ! -

Originally a Herald goat from 1958, this is a post '64 version with ENGLAND on its belly. The dogs are also originally a Herald design from 1957. the Farm hand would have had either a broom, hoe, pitch fork or rake, again herald from 1958 originally. The dark green figure was for the Zoo range from 1963, but was used in one of the large show jumping boxed sets, a Britains figure, he used a head from a Herald Royal Marine figure of 1960, that was also used on the milkman. The donkeys look like the first Herald version released in 1961. For more information on Herald and Britains animals/figures there is an excellent reference book by Peter Cole, Suspended Animation, and also the books by Barney Brown, if you can find them!

Britains farm playbase?
super6 replied to britainsfan78's topic in Britains Lead, Plastic Figures and Accessories
It was loosely based on 4713, as released in 1992 and deleted end of 1998. They share the same square panel/tile design to the yard area. So most likely released in this time frame. 4713 was re released in 2003 as 40529 before being renumbered again to 42104 in 2005 before being deleted again at the end of 2008. I don't think it has been resurrected since then -

There is a 1978 (only) version of these, farm and zoo, see back cover of the trade catalogue for that year. I've never come across them................ yet -

Orange seat found on grey coloured Ford 6600 with orange wheel centres and grill -
Seems to be a lot of these reprints on ebay, and not just Britains posters.

As per my 4 October post JMD’s printing block. As you can see it is tiny. Thanks to John for supplying the picture, right way up now !🤭

A couple of recent acquisitions the card item was shown by Tom in an earlier post but I have one now, yay. Not sure of year, maybe 2020? It is 1200 x 200mm ReverseCatalogue dispenser, suspect this is 2022 as it came with the current catalogue Without! I think it will only hold about 5 or 6!

It's not all old school then, linkage appears to be the new version

Acquired this from a 1974 trade catalogue along with trade order forms for January. The farm printing block I have shown before. I think JMD has the small B with soldier in. Has anyone else any? Obviously, they are reversed Size is approximately 80mm x 40mm

Re 1970 catalogue, I lit the blue touch paper there then John 😁 I have two different price lists for this year, prices are the same but purchase tax shown on top right corner of first one and on reverse of other mention is made of the prices shown on page 21 (ACW Items) -

A Herald Trade Box from the late 60's/70's I think Not used for the farm range as far as I am aware, but I liked it and it sort of fits in, ish! 42381 Arched Header Board from 2008-09 for the Shop Display as seen elsewhere in this thread. It is 920mm x 270mm high approx That is it for now, doesn't seem to be much out there at the moment, not that there ever was loads and loads

A few additions to my collection from the last few months The top two items were traded with a member on here. Not sure of the year, possibly 2020? The shelf edger is 1250mm long x 40mm tall The shorter shelf edger bought from his mate at the same time, it is 1000mm x 40mm. Pot luck getting this one, being in the right place at the right time. Big thanks to both of you 👍 Another A5 competition entry form from 1988 I think, this item also came from the same forum member. The poster can be seen in an earlier post of mine The reverse side A closer view of the wheel wobbler as seen above, it is 140mm diameter Reverse showing wobbler mechanism spring! A McDonalds advert from 2003 supplied by another forum member 👍 I can remember seeing this as a full size poster in a bus stop shelter

I reckon that is someone else's, US style tyres and front wheels appear to be secured with a screw. Interesting light bar too. I have the DRW Brian Norman 1884, the wheel centres of which are cast and stuck in the rims. One of his early tractor models along with the a Series 10 Ford. As per images at top of page! 🙄

Nice poster Are the arms left and right or all the same? -
I think you ansered your own question there Sean with the last picture. Someone on here posted a picture of that set with a blue sprayer. Have also heard of thm from another source, Brian Norman I think it was. A nice find. there is also a red version with beige arms.

Hi John, some lovely items, the boxes are just like the Farm range ones, not very sturdy, but then they weren't designed to last 30 plus years. Can you have a look at the underside of the Unimog and see if it has a Sample Copy lable afixed. I have 9980 in an Autoway box with that lable underneath and the 3 pointed star on the doors are cut out from the grill decal. I'm sure you are aware that the Safety Trailer would normally be white in the Road series, so this is most likely Britains using up mouldings! I think i have a wrong coloured Safety Trailer and Land Rover 9981 but cannot remember which way round colour wise.

Britains 5000 Pre Force to yellow
super6 replied to MDFord's topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
My original example with yellow plastic cab, implement lift is from a Fordson Major. These cabs are slightly taller than those found on the Major
