  1. Wowsers John, that little lot kept you occupied for a while yesterday. Where to start, the questionaire came from Toytrac? I have one that came from there. I thought I had shown the patches! I vaguely remember the McDonalds adverts, seem to recall a large poster was used? was it that long ago! Love the Ford leaflet, wouldn't mind one of them. Kerry gold set is different. I have some Milkyway promo bits, a small booklet and an advert from a comic The Aisle hanging cards are nice. I don't seem to be able to get/find any of the newer stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have purchased quite a few different adverts via ebay over the last few years, two of a few in error, for the most part from the same person. Your large cabinet is exactly the same as mine, different header, although I do have that one, and I put a mixture of shelf edgers on my one. There was a collector on one of the face book pages who put two up in a loft, couldn't have been easy, huge great things!
  2. Look forward to seeing something different John. I might have to take the time out to redo a lot of the early pictures, having relied on a certain image hosting site, missed an H out there!
  3. I'm sure I saw that, or one like it, on ebay, the wheels don't appear to fit properly as there are/were no spacers between wheel hubs and chassis. Did you buy it Alastair?
  4. There must be some bits out there, more likely the hats. Something will turn up eventually..........hopefully
  5. That's brilliant, do you still have what you won?
  6. A very early plastic range trade box from 1958. I was under the impression that the Britains lead mould livestock were moulded in plastic in 1959 (only?) A 1958 price list refutes that! A shelf edger, a short one at that, most likely from the 1980's. It does not look to have been cut down, but then why would you?
  7. Atcost Barns flyer from 1979, it is quite small being 6" x 3 1/8" New Lines Arrow, I have seen very few of these (3) and managed to buy this one. It dates from 1964 on as that is when the Britains B with Soldier in was first used. Unable to find it in any of my reference material so if anyone can prove when first used please let me/us know. A great idea when fixed to a box end flap How secured to box
  8. Being off sick does give me a bit of time to up date this topic a little, all items bought in the preceding couple of years, so lets begin. First up a Flyer from approximately 1981/2 with some clothing, wonder how much if any survives! It measures 8 3/8" x 5 1/8" Competition entry form 1984 Size is A4
  9. I've seen some of these at various shows in the not to distant past. Not necessarily built by the man Paul mentions but quite possibly!
  10. I bought one of those at a toy fair. the poor lighting made the frame look red and not orange, the light of day proved otherwise! Ho hum. Also didn't notice the shorter depth adjusters, Doh
  11. Perkins 540 V8 for sale at Malvern today, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. It was "dressed" up for installation in a Ford truck with FORD cast into the rocker covers. Big old lump
  12. Just received this, was/is missing markers, silver part from hopper and road transport wheels. Still after first two parts. Spout top thick red moulding is perfect, these tend to split where secured. This has silver wheel centres as per MF 135, not seen these before. Bought this trailer a while ago, looks good on this colour wheel centres methinks
  13. I believe so, has a part number, to rich for me!
  14. Barn owls cannot fly very well in the rain as their feathers are not very waterproof
  15. Paint verse plastic, never a Britains strong point colour matching
  16. I've been slowly collecting the figures with yellow tools, albeit loose. I bought a small group a while ago on ebay and they included a couple with yellow helmets. Thinking these were repaints I put them to one side and thought no more of them. I came across another on a traders stand at one of the toy tractor shows, remembering the others I made it mine. Need to find them out now! The latest one has a silver shovel with brown painted handle. Picture to follow, memory serving me well. Have you come across any of these?
  17. Late ones have plain metal skip levers, early ones have painted skip levers, amongst other differences
  18. I would not be happy receiving this through the post having paid very strong money for it, some "lovely" fatigue cracks to casting, and no implement adaptor! It doesn't look like it has ever been played with. Plus point it's an early one with the straight lift lever. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-Vintage-Britains-Toy-Power-Major-Fordson-Diesel-Tractor-in-original-box/312766219881?hash=item48d251c669:g:gVsAAOSwnbtdejP2
  19. Which trailer is a repaint, the clockwork one? I see what you mean about the tipping trailer, it should have fat tyres. Presumably this one also has plastic rims. Expensive box as far as I am concerned, don't get me wrong i would like it, but not for strong money
  20. Both Autoway versions have a fixed "steering axle" More info on dumpers here, pictures not great, for obvious reasons
