  1. Both Autoway versions have a fixed "steering axle" More info on dumpers here, pictures not great, for obvious reasons
  2. A nice addition, it has the unloading auger as fitted to the powered and maize head versions. This is shorter with a different outlet shape, see here and compare ends https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Britains-Farm-1-32-Scale-New-Holland-TR85-Combine-Harvester/303225517824?hash=item4699a63700:g:Jb4AAOSwbl9dLN4B
  3. £9.95 now Check this one out https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Britains-43136Tractor-Case-IH-300CVX-tractor-mehrfarbig-by-Britains/123520170743?hash=item1cc2603af7:g:CTYAAOSwBkBcAdJ5 It's okay though, free shipping included!
  4. It could be worse Mike, I won an item from someone selling a collection and the wrong item turned up, he said he would sort it out but I never ever saw what I had won, eventually getting a refund. I left feed back reflecting this fact, as had someone else who had the same problem, but this had disappeared before two weeks was up. Feed back ratings on ebay are a sham! With regards items disappearing, this seems to be quite common, have you never been tempted to make an offer? What you could do is send them a message to the effect that you hope they got at least x amount for it as that is the going rate
  5. Minty mint Paul! A nice find. Never been used by the look of them, those plastic wallets wouldn't stand up to much use. I have a pair of plastic County manual/parts book sleeves with a fold over end flap, they do not look at all robust and I have never seen any others
  6. I expect you know but there is a resin AP cab available as a one piece moulding plus separate roof, as used on an ertl John Deere. It's the early version with forward hinging doors. I used one, albeit in white metal, for a 5610 I did a few years back, I didn't know the JD cab was longer though, I assumed they were all the same length
  7. It appears to be a late chassis with the twist lock slot. and an early body with holes in the rear lugs from when these bodies where used on the truck chassis, pre and post war. I have a 1969 trailer, brand new to me, which has these holes filled in. A bitsa I reckon! Is it a matt finish? Are there paint chips where the body lands on the chassis? Does it have a narrow axle or are the wheels quite loose on the axle?
  8. Some crazy prices to some of the items coming from this seller, over a ton for the cardboard Evedale Farm! I may have to sell mine
  9. Hi Paul,

I expect you have seen this,

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HP-TOYS-DENMARK-1-16-LEYLAND-TRACTOR/113627674459?hash=item1a74bcb75b:g:mEMAAOSwZqlcVa0V

Did you go to Shepton Mallet Tractor show this year? I went on the Sunday, there seemed to be less there this year, especially people selling spares. Some interesting tractors I'd not seen before though.

    Paul

    1. Valley Axe Man

      Valley Axe Man

      Howdo Paul

Thanks for that, yes i seen it and have 3 of them so far.... many colour variotions of them,  blue/yellow, blue/grey, blue/red, red/grey and red/yellow  My 3 are pictured below

we were there on the sunday, both me and John (jmd)  both said there seemed less at the show than previous years  but like you say some different ones there. As for the traders yes that was a bit poor too. We also had a good look through the toyfair, John got a couple of Brian Norman conversions off Brian Norman, think one was a silver jubilee the other a 7610.  Wont be long til Malvern

  10. 9580 first version box from 1970, complete with cardboard skip and play rubble. Also available in what I believe to be a trade box with red tracks, yellow bucket and cab roof, missing from this example. This example is also marked COSTAIN albeit quite worn now. Have seen a few of these boxes over the years.
  11. Your radiator doesn't look quite right, it appears to be too far forward, front of radiator should be in line with the radiator top tank. Could you use a Scaledown front axle as these are brass I believe
  12. Quite a few different models. I've never seen, or heard of, the Case or Allis Chalmers kits. They seem quite crude compared to Scaledown models
  13. Rare old kits these are, my dad made at least one, that I can remember, long since sold, E27N I think. By old I reckon early 80's. Pretty sure there was a John Deere as well, although I do not know which model. They weren't around for all that long for what ever reason. I think the Malc's Models N is 1/16th scale
  14. Another display item from the 90's I reckon, although dedicated to Soldiers I think these may have been available with the more normal Britains logo. There is provision on the R/H side to hold catalogues/leaflets. I meant to put some early Zang Soldiers on here to show size but didn't get quite that far, ho hum!
  15. SA15 another display cabinet, a bit smaller this time. This also has internal lighting for bc lamps and dates to 1964, when the big B logo was introduced. I cannot find any reference to this after 1964 but it was available prior to this with a different Britains/Herald logo. Size is approximately 20" wide, 22" high and 10" deep narrowing to 6.5" deep at the top where the lamps are. Glass shelves are about 5" then 4" apart going from the base up. I believe there should be sliding back portions, as there are grooves for these top and bottom, unfortunately these are long gone.
  16. It's been a while since anyone, let alone me, posted anything in here! So here is a bit of an update from my small collection as bought in the last 4 years. In no particular order I will start off with the largest thing I have acquired, a shop display case complete with lighting to sign at top. There is also a sign on the back, but i did not want to empty it to move and photograph it Size is approximately 3' x 3' x 1'. I believe it dates to the 70's going by the style, but have no definitive proof
  17. Pretty much mint I reckon, not a mark on the ones I bought. Could you photograph them together for a comparison?
  18. Are these the same colour as your other dark green plough?
  19. What show is this, not Yesterdays Farming?
  20. If it ends when I am at work then I have to leave a bid. Sometimes I win, more often I am the under bidder, by a £1 normally. But hey losing is cost free so it don't matter Last few seconds is the best way if you have the luxury of time, not always guaranteed of success. See above! What annoys me is when you forget to bid on something and it does not get any bids so goes around again, when everyone and there aunt want to buy it. AARRRGGG!
  21. I have one of these on the more usual rims, it came in one of those plain/Heston style white boxes but I suspect it has been repackaged at some time. As you, I'm not 100% sure of its originality although they are shown in the 1984 catalogue, unsure of wheel type though. Helicopter/Land rover set is nice, uncatalogued. I reckon it is from 1985 as the Land rover was replaced/superceded in 1986. One on ebay at the moment but strong money
  22. Blue or yellow if you can find either one, good luck with that, never seen a white one. They are different to the 6x cabs as they are not so tall, but these do fit and are, relatively, easier to find. I'm pretty sure someone does the Fordson cab in a white resin
