  1. Hello Boys and Girls. I've resized these at home because I couldn't trust you-know-who to resize them for me. The lads are going to travel to Spalding and we're hoping to have T-Shirts for you to buy there! They will also be signing autographs! But seriously, here's more of the good stuff: (starting with the MF sign)
  2. More pics from Paul and Brian. This is the Machinery Shed. Much of the detailing is from a military 1:32 Mobile Workshop. Lighting is of a type used for model railways. There is a lighted MF sign on the outside of the building. Enjoy!
  3. T8000 is the idea of a marketing **** with a silly name. They are TGs in reality. How does one go about starting a campaign to get farmers to request TG badging on their TGs? That would soon see Mr silly marketing nonce getting his P45!
  4. There was a range of Brauds and, IIRC, a couple of Claysons. I have a vague recollection of a prototype Claas. I sent the addy of the website to an occasional visitor to this site at the time with a view to him taking on the agency, but the hard drive of the laptop I was using at the time died so I can't access it at the moment. I've tried to Google my way back on a couple of occasions, but no success so far. I want an M103 or an M122 this year!
  5. A couple of years ago I found the website of a French outfit that did Braud and Clayson/New Holland combines in 1:32 for sensible money. I haven't been able to find it ever since. Has anyone ever come across it?
  6. I'm not sure that diorama is his. I think he may have photographed it at the show. But it is the dogs' danglys! I'd love to get a better look at the machinery on the right hand side (behind the shed, behind the JD) I think a trip to a show in France is called for in 2006!
  7. Do you remember that Pamela Anderson film..... ?
  8. I was out taking pics today for a Heavy Haulage Company. The driver of this DAF was crying his heart out because the boss sold his 500hp Scania and gave him this instead!
  9. That 165 with the saw head was the coolest thing I had ever seen when I was a nipper! (circa 1970). Are those cabbed 165s Corgis or Matchbox?
  10. I've seen the 5455 2wd and it is a gem. Would make a great rake tractor. The PDC/Agrium NH TVT is surely the most appropriate upgrade for the 6290s, although the Deutz TTV and Fendt 818 should also be in strong contention. But, a blue Steyr, how much cooler can you get??
  11. Is there any hope that we might see the 6X/6Y/7A chassis available from Scaledown one day?
  12. Do I see a Deutz 6.05tt in the background? What is the Case with loader beside it?
  13. I'd suggest you go to a toy show (Spalding, April 2nd) and have a look at some of the Does that will be there. You could also PM Nigel Ford from Scaledown, a regular visitor to this board, and talk with him about more cost effective ways of achieving your objective. Worst case scenario, buy one Scaledown kit and see where that takes you when you have it in your hands.
  14. I have a pic somewhere of a County 1474 with a Paraplow that performed at the County Day in Armagh in 2004. Absolutely hideous thing! (the Paraplow, not the 1474!) Give me a Dowdeswell reversible any day!
  15. I've been singing "Basildon built is better built" for 30 odd years. The only thing better than a Basildon tractor is one that visited Fleet in Hampshire on it's way to the dealer! There was an old 5000 in one of the sheds and I wanted to use that for drawing instead of the Case 895 or MF4355, but they wouldn't let me. They were afraid I'd break it (as if!). By the end of the day both the Case and MF were crook, and I was laughing my ass off (but they still wouldn't let me fire up the 5000). :'(
  16. I hauled a load of silage with a TS115A last summer. It was brought in to replace a Case 895 that had developed problems (nothing new for a rebadged International It's the best tractor I've driven - bar the Fendt 714
  17. When I were a lad ..... Starting the Fergie involved; - Boiling up a big bucket of water. Carry up hill to where tractor is always parked. Pour water into radiator. Leave for three mins to warm up the block. - Remove logs from under rear wheels. - Close choke, set throttle at 3/4, select 6th gear. - Make sure nothing was likely to come up the lane. - Spray Ether into air manifold, release brakes. - At about 10mph, take foot off clutch. - Pray! - Jump on clutch and brake pedals as soon as engine fired ( or before crashing into something) The Fords, on the other hand, had a completely different process. - Put key in ignition - Put both gear levers in Neutral - Turn key to "warm" position, hold, then turn to "start" position. - and away she goes
  18. Okay, this is going OT a wee bit ..... but! "Deere 1 - New Holland 0" Yeah, maybe, back in the day when NH only made combines, but since they inherited the Basildon Basilica to Real Tractor Making, your silly Lanz Bulldog wannabees just don't make the grade! and as for ... "Grip like me if you can!!! Michelin!!!!" Michael Schumacher. Goodyear. ( ... and we won't even mention the 2005 US Grand Prix) Life is a waste of time, time is a waste of life, stop wastin time and get wasted and life is good
  19. The local fruit farm near here has a County 1174 with 2wd. Think Ford 7810 only 100 times sexier! One day, in the near future, I'll get a picture of it, and post it on here. I promise. S:
  20. How much did Marky Mark pay you to position the 6290 in front of the roller? (... as if a 6290 would even know what to do with 14 tons! We've a local contractor who uses the 6290 to pull the empty Red Rock Dumper back to the quarry, and a 1965 pre-force Ford 5000 Super Major to pull the full load to the building site.) Okay, maybe I've had one pint of Heineken too many. It was a 1969 Ford Force 5000!
  21. I think the New Holland TG has nothing to worry about so, never mind the Fordson E27 .................. (Never could understand the attraction of a green/yellow colour scheme)
