    Big Drills

No! (doh!) The TRACTOR (Dear Jason: Real Tractors are BLUE and have FORD badges on them. There is one in the above pics and I'd like to see a close up. I'm surprised you weren't able to figure this out for yourself, but then I have recently found you skulking in a backroom with unsavoury types in deepest Lincolnshire, so your credibility in all things important is a little damaged at present)

Any chance of a close up of the tractor?
  3. Think of all the years that Britains made Ford/Fordson models and never felt the need to build a service van to support them. They never needed to make a service van for Massey, Deutz, Fiat, Volvo, Valmet, etc., etc., etc. As soon as someone starts making models of the John Q 20 series what happens? Yep, crying kids, up and down the land, waiting for the John Q service van to turn up. Hardly surprising that they turned to Ford to get something reliable to transport the stressed out, overworked, John Q repair man to the scene of the latest fiasco. :
  4. If they are as useless as the 20 series, that must be a pain in the ass!
  5. ...... and engine hoists and tool boxes ........
  6. Back in the 80s, ERTL did a 1:32 Garage workshop. Recently New Ray have released some of the parts (or very similiar parts) in some cheap and nasty F1 garage sets. It includes workbenches, car lifts, tyre removers, trolley jacks and oxy bottles. (and a tidy V8 engine block - if you want to knock up a tractor puller). Next time I see them in the shop I will drop you a line.
  7. Remind me: Was bringing home a Massey 1200 from Spalding a sign that you are really cool, or that you are a ditto-head? ..... and does bringing home two make you a shortarse with a weak bladder?
  8. Anfield: Named after the family farm of a certain Mr Graves. Said family farm was located on the Kilkenny side of the river, across from the town of New Ross. My sister also had a house named Anfield - now owned by a French Lady.
  9. Sweet Malachy, what a serious dose of Handbags at Dawn! Meanwhile, since when does an MX135 have the same wheelbase as an MTX175? If you are going to do a job, do it right, or don't do it at all. Jason's looks better, but Karen Harris' looks best!
  10. So THATS how he makes his Terror Trac Lexions!
  11. I heard the opposite: Somebody is trying to buy the UH Licences, patterns, production contracts and marketing channels. It will be interesting to see if the UH brand name is kept, and if so, what for.
  12. I had that 1390 in my mitts yesterday, and it is one smashing model! Well done IH.
  13. I spoke to Dave yesterday and he is already working 18 hours a day producing his current range, and has extra staff taken on. Why he would want to waste valuable County & Roadless building time faffing about with that red rubbish is beyond me. But seriously, I'm delighted to hear he got permission to build more Masseys. His new pattern maker is even better than the old one, so these models should be excellent when they arrive.
  14. I have one of those bins. It is a neat model. Previously, I've suggested to Bill Walters that they should look at reintroducing this line if the tooling is still available. He was going to look into it.
  15. Claas Senator/Mercator. Here's the MF 510 Marky will buy when he trades the Defender 90 in for an 88.
  16. There was an article in CT a couple of months ago about some mad taffys who took a Jag 695 back end, put a drawbar on it, and mounted a butterfly pair powered by the 695 off the drawbar. The MX drove the front mower and towed the 695-butterfly. Only in Wales!
  17. As in next week? (hint, hint!)
  18. I saw a real one buried in a hedge today. Was replaced by a Pottinger Mex VI, which in turn was replaced by a Jag 840. Feel free to drop one in the goody bag!
  19. Here's what that harvester, and those trailers, look like in a diorama. Tidy harvester FP!
  20. a) How's he going to get it down out of the loft? Oooooooer, the freight charge to blighty is going to be very steep, esp if you have to hire a minder to travel with it!
  21. Is that the photo that took days to set up because the floor is covered in water?
  22. All the pics of the various dioramas are in this section: http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?board=33.0 I love the Fordsons, by the way.

    new tractor

Update: County had originally done the 7810 concept more than 20 years previously - in 1966. This is the only one built, and it was sent to Australia for field trials - the precursor for the 8401 that followed years later.

    new tractor

I wouldn't worry too much about blow. That engine will go all the way to 190hp - although the back end can start complaining at about 120hp. It is essentially the same engine as used in the TW35 and County 1884. Think about it: How many 7810s do you see for every 56 series International? Around these parts it is at least 15 to 1.
