Been in "Robbo's Heaven" today, I came across a farm that had 5 Same tractors and I had a half decent camera with me. They have got 2 Same Silver 160's, a Silver 110, an Explorer 70 2wd as a yard tractor and a Frutetto 60 that they use on the fruit and veg side of the business

Yes I was, it is a great way of getting drivers to stop for a chat, they always ask "what's wrong" at first but most are then happy to natter and let me take photos ;D ;D If you look in the first photo of the TM my car is in the background :police: :police:

Several miles away I came across this New Holland TM155 which, according to the driver, had a bit of a story attached to it. Apparently, he did some work for a local contractor and when the job finished the contractor said he didn't have enough money to pay him, a sum that amounted to about £5000. In lieu of payment he left him with the tractor and said when I have got the money together I will pay you and get my tractor back.......................that was 3 years ago and he has still never heard from him or been paid He doesn't believe in straight lines, he just follows the edge of the field,

managed to get out and about again today which was good as the weather was wonderful for this time of the year. Unfortunately I only had my phone and not the proper camera but I had to make do with what I had to hand. First up is a Massey 6190 and drill/power harrow combination, the drive was east European and didn't speak much English :D
  11. I went to Oz a couple of years ago and they even made me wash the soles of my golf shoes in case there was any mud in the cleats, it must be a nightmare getting a tractor clean enough to get into the country :of :of

  14. That expression has always made me laugh as I have known a few of them over the years. I heard another one the other day that is equally as good though, he is a lighthouse in the desert, very bright but not much use to anyone! One of my colleagues is currently writing a book and is using that as the title ;D ;D ;D
  15. They have been on special offer if you went direct to farmmodels, about £40 if I remember rightly
  16. But as Hajo pointed out, there are still any number of "limited editions" that are still widely available and some that don't seem to sell at all, take the Schuco Fendt 211 in gold, that is on eBay on a regular basis and doesn't seem to sell at all. I know that my local dealer has about 5 on his shelf and has had for some considerable time.
  17. I had to go to one of our recovery agents today and he has bought himself a classic John Deere and painted it in his company colours. He will be using it to tow abandoned vehicles and burnt out cars out of fields. He has used it a couple of times and says it pulls like a train and will go anywhere. John Deere 3140
  18. There are so many variables that it is hard to give a straight answer. It will depend on how limited the model is, some are limited to 50 and others to several thousand but are still considered to be limited editions. Some marques are also more desirable than others, the more popular makes seem to be more in demand and therefore hold their price better than others. How long is your piece of string?
  19. Latest up date and the thieves seem to have changed tack and are going for older kit, please note although I have the makes I do not have the specific model details 2/9/11 Case C26ANG stolen from Devon and Cornwall 4/9/11 Massey Ferguson WBX249L stolen from Dyfed Powys 7/9/11 John Deere J968RJB stolen from Devon and Cornwall 7/9/11 Massey Ferguson H187SAH stolen from West Mercia 11/9/11 Ford New Holland J985OBW stolen from Bedfordshire 12/9/11 Massey Ferguson D344WEG stolen from Cambridgeshire 12/9/11 New Holland P396WKG stolen from South Wales 12/9/11 Massey Ferguson LGD502V stolen from West Yorkshire 12/9/11 Case K496MEU stolen from Wiltshire 13/9/11 Massey Ferguson HVA957N stolen from Cambridgeshire I know that all the keys are likely to be the Lucas type and one size fits all but please take your own keys inside and do not leave them in the ignition. 24. Welcome to the forum Emily, there are a couple of other ladies on the forum and I am sure they will be along to say hello shortly. If you really want to see how many nutters I mean collectors there are then keep an eye on the "Events and Shows" section and come along. FTF/Model Farmer are represented at most of them.
