after they put it down and the fire was put out, they knocked down the shed and are halfway through putting in a new dairy and cubicle shed  ;), they look back at the 7610 now and laugh about it, saying it was a restoration project for some unlucky sod  :D but it was scrapped. all that survived on the tractor was the front left hand side wheel

not nice, there was a big barn fire down this way start iof the week, arround old masseys way i think ,loads of straw and some machinery lost, had to let it burn and save the surrounding buildings as it was to far alight by the time the engines ect arrived

same thing happened here, the diesel tank nearly went up to

Ouch.... she went well didn't she!!!  :-:D You wouldn't have thought that something comprising predominantly steel and wet soil would burn so, er, 'effectively'... :o  :D

Was it a contractor's machine or large farm's own.. ???

contractors machine, he sent a KLEINE self-propelled harvester for free next day to compensate the farmer for destruction of parts of his field due to the fire-brigades work and of course the oil leaks and the fire itself ...
