BGU Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 If they stay at 99p then both!!! ;D If not which one do you think or neither? Quote
Simon Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 They're both a bit 'vintage' for Penny aren't they Kev? I'd say probably the tines, those ruddy finger bars are ever so complicated.... Imagine you'd get more use out of something you can drag around in soil too.... you can go over the same bit over and over.... can't really do that with a mower.... Quote
archbarch Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 those finger mowers arent complicated just awkward. I would go with tines be interesting to see how much they make. Quote
Lord Ferguson Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 neither Kev... both too old for Penny really \ Quote
nashmach Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 neither Kev... both too old for Penny really \ I'd second that as well I'm afraid. Quote
Tractorman810 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 both a bit to old kev, but if it gets you out using penny a bit more, and they go cheap enough then why not, sure many farmers used old kit like that on the 35's when they came out Quote
BGU Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 With 3 days to go he has added a reserve!!! Therefore a minimum of £50 so I shant be bidding. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact they are still at 99p!!!! Thanks for the info. Quote

jdc Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Tend to agree as those mowers were either modified or converted from a horse mower - however we still had one in the 60s for cutting thistles where the IH mounted bar mower was 'too good'. Quote
MJB1 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 keep looking kev , surprising how often MF/ ferguson fingerbar mowers come up on ebay Quote
BGU Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 Cultivator went up to £51 and mower £21 - neither met his reserves. Quote
Deere-est Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Neither, Kev. Now that you're a dab hand witht he reversible ploughing I reckon you ought to keep your eyes peeled for a Fergy butterfly plough Quote
Simon Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I'm sure we have a 3f Fergy plough tucked away somewhere if you're interested Kev..... Would have thought that would give you more pleasure than either of these... \ Quote

MJB1 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 yeah really need to be looking for a mounted implement kev & avoid anything with wheels at all unless it's a trailer last thing you need is to be trundling round the lanes with an implement on steel wheels Quote
