sparrow legs
ive had a 2640 2wd made and the bloke that did it used a 590 front axle on the fat trailer type tyres and left the original back wheels on and it looks spot on, it looks the part, he made it from a photo taken of the one my dad used to drive. Yours looks fine but the rear wheel centres are to modern in my opinion but then it looks well matched size wise to the fronts so it will turn out a very good model, keep up the good work. Lord Ferguson
Only real difference was the 188 had an extension piece in the gearbox to make it longer (and a better seat as well) - I will try to find a picture later. All 1*8 series tractors had the same extra casting in the middle to extend the wheelbase - that's the main difference.

Lord Ferguson
TM - that 2680 looks sweet (apart from the colour of the wheels) - Do you know who made that
Deere-est
1972 I maybe able to get some pics of a 188 over my mates place (same place as Udi's photo earlier). They have an array of MF's so I'll see if they have one and take half a dozen snaps for you.
