James T's Farming Photos 2010-11

Headed to Berwick to get some shopping today and chanced upon some harvesting at Chirnside on the way home.  Typical, you wait for ages for a Lexion Terra Trac and then three come along at once!  I eventually arrived home 435 photographs and one flat camera battery later.  I'm still finding chaff in, erm, unlikely places.  The shots were taken in three separate fields, all within about a mile of each other.

Harvesting still at the moment on the farm here and on neighbouring land.  Weather forecast looks awful for tomorrow (amber weather warning for 80mph gales), so I think folk are getting done what they can, while they can.

very interestin to see three combines in one field for a start . what acreage do they cut. good clear photos what camera are you using.

I use a fairly basic 'bridge camera' - a Kodak Z1012IS (10.1 MP).  I've got a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 on order which will hopefully arrive soon!

Here are some shots of the potato harvest near Greenlaw, Berwickshire from a week past on Wednesday until Sunday.  Four Varitrons in use, with round the clock operations, halted one evening by frost.  Following on, some tracked beauties in an adjacent field from last weekend.
