Andy
It is the 51st Carrington Steam and Vintage Rally this weekend - 30th and 31st May. The event attracts thousands of people, with over 600 exhibits of steam and tractor equipment. I will be there taking photos with a small stand in tow! http://www.carringtonrally.co.uk/home
BC
Looks as though it could be a good show Andy and I look forward to the photos. Oh and good luck with promoting Model Farmer....it will be interesting to see how it goes at a real steam and vintage rally versus the model shows. Andy
Well back after two long days. Have lots of images to share once I sort through them all. Some great rare machines on show including a very fine collection of crawlers. Quick preview of whats to come tomorrow
BC
Nice "cats" Andy....my Ransomes MG 2 is like a kitten in comparison ;)
Deere-est
Interesting couple of creepy crawlers there, Andy. Should be quite an array of machinery to come if these two are anything to go by.

Tractorman810
some nice shots there andy, plenty of creepy crawlers to, which you dont see so many of at normal shows did you have much intrest in the stand you took ?
BC
Although there are a lot of crawlers around Sean you don't tend to see many at shows because one of of the biggest problems is transportation. They are dogs to load and very dangerous if you have metal ramps or metal floor on the trailer. It is like driving on ice one quick tug on the side brake and you could be offski over the side. The other dangerous bit is when you reach the point of balance and she could go any way. What you need is heavy duty rubber eg quarry belting to run them up and onto. Believe you me I have had scary moments loading even with my little MG2 when I had treadplate covered skids before adding the rubber belting :
The Tractor Twitcher
Very fine line up of tractors you've captured there Andy especially the crawlers and Dad's favourite that lovely looking D8. Another show I was bit gutted to have missed out on attending due to work commitments, thanks for sharing your excellent photographs. Deere-est
Nice to see a piece of Brown and May engineering from my home town, Devizes. :) Shame that 4240S has been uglified
Andy
Thought you might notice that Tris. Its a strange feeling when the bigger crawlers go past. The grunt of the Vickers and the ground shake is quite impressive!
Deere-est
I have to say I have taken a bit of a shine to that Caterpillar Twenty Two, I love the arched roof of the cab. It's all squeaking, rattling, rumbling and noise. Big kids stuff * :)
