catkom3
Hopefully Brian Norscot will do a 800 series rubber tracked machine, then it wouldn't be to big of a job to convert an ERTL / Britains IH STX into a 900 series articulated machine, Regards Joe. bluegreen
Very nice but I would much rather have a new Quadtrac
catkom3
I made an interesting discovery today whilest dissecting a Cat Challenger, ( more about that,if it work's ), The front engine section is just kinda tounge and grooved together, makeing it " interchangeable " so Norscot may well have an artic tractor on the drawing board Regards Joe. mr softie
joe i have seen your work in the flesh, it wont go pear shaped, for the reason you keep making the alterations untill you get it right and cant wait to see what the final conversion is. all the best and will be watching this space closely
mrol
I'd guess that you're building a 900 series Challenger using a Britains Arctic (Case?) as the base model and bonnet and cab from the Norscot? If so, should hopefully excellent!
catkom3
This doesn't translate well but it look's like there's going to be a limited run of MT 865C's from Norscot at Agritechnica called Field Python, http://www.grostracteurspassion.com/Actu/fiche/id/1066 In the kind of frog that is as big as an ox, is the kind of improbable story that does not slow down as the imagination of marketing. When the caterpillar thinks he's one of the most ruthless snake that is in nature, the message is clear for the competitors, stay away! With the exception of an MT875B repainted white in 2007 to mark the 20th anniversary of the flexible track, the U.S. is conspicuous by its discretion. But here, the tractor driver to loose dramatically! To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the system "Mobil Trac" developed by Caterpillar, the caterpillar rubber and 10 years of marketing the "MT" in Europe, a MT865C original look will be exposed to the Agritechnica in November. Its uniqueness, be disguised from head to toe, or rather cabin with sprockets like a snake. "We chose the name" Field Python "or python fields because there are many similarities between the Caterpillar Challenger," Gaston argues Haesen, product manager. "It's powerful, elegant and its movement is quiet, efficient and uniform. It leaves virtually no trace. In addition, it also sends a warning to its competitors, keep your distance". Exceeding 20 tonnes per load, tractor 583 hp max. will have a very wide range of equipment, including crawler 91.5 cm, a complete hydraulic equipment, a lift back, a leather seat, xenon headlights long range, the Topcon GPS guidance ... For fans of models, 1:32 scale replica of Python MT865C Field limited to 1000 copies will be available for sale. Regards Joe.
