Lady Ferguson Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Frazer and I are having a little 'difference of opinion' over what colour to do our new knapsack sprayer, so I wonder if you guys can help? My vote is yellow and Frazer's is white (only because he won't have to paint it )... but (as usual) you guys will be the final deciders (if you don't mind, of course ) Quote
jordantaylor Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 majority i know are yellow, prehaps after this a quadbike sprayer Quote
Tractorman810 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 seen both colours to be honest mandy, maybe worth supplying the decals with it and leave the colour choice to the buyer? itsnot a huge item to paint afterall Quote
BC Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Well I can't remember the make of my real knapsack sprayer but its kinda clear / cream offwhite colour but mind you I acquired it and well must be 30 to 40 years old ;) . I sure you can get sprayers any colour you want these days. I would go the white route and then the buyer can paint to suit themselves. Quote
Lady Ferguson Posted July 16, 2011 Author Posted July 16, 2011 Hmmm.... interesting reading. Mine at the farm was yellow (and if I sat down when it was fully up it would topple me over backwards ) We've found that most people want our products pre-painted, so we only keep a few back for those who prefer to DIY models But, unfortunately, I don't think a selection of colours is going to be practical - we could perhaps do yellow and white \ Quote
Barry Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Clear One I used as a lad on the thistles was yellow Quote
Tractorman810 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 are they white metal then mandy?? or resin, as resin could be coloured on manufacture, in which case all colours could be catered for, then its just black lids you need to paint Quote
Claaspower Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 The only ones I have ever seen are yellow as well And a blue lid Quote
brianih634 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 I have seen many different coulered ones about, but mine is yellow with a blue bottom bit and blue lids etc. Old one before that was light green. Quote
Farmersam Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 The ones I have seen are white and only couple of yellow ones, but I was wondering if a yellow one would look more interesting in a farm diorama? Quote
ploughmaster Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 ......... mine is yellow with a blue bottom bit and blue lids etc. Sounds like a Cooper-Pegler (http://www.cooper-pegler.com/); probably the most widely used make (and best quality). The CP3 knapsack has been around in various versions for most of 40 years with a yellow tank and blue base and lid (early ones had an orange tank). However, they don't look anything like the shape of the above model \ Quote
BC Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Talking of knapsack sprayers I wonder if we will see Marcus on his pedal tractor spraying Quote
Lord Ferguson Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I have one at work for the weeds around the building... it's also yellow with a blue cap on top Quote
Deere-est Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Tracis Dad has a white one with black metal frame and a red lid. When I used one on the farm as a scroat it was yellow with black lid and blue bit at the bottom covering the pump and filter. Quote
Mike R Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I have one at work for the weeds around the building... it's also yellow with a blue cap on top So do I Quote
