i recon you could afford to run it for this year ,then look at a replacement this time next year & i recon you'd still get more than you paid for it ,as the 50's & 55 do hold their money well :) other than that invest again & get a 28 or a 33 to run along side it  :)

Get a set of new weights for the front of her, Put about about 300kg up front, far far smoother ride, Also tyre pressures play a vital role in the ride of the 3050's.

Here we go again!!!

I replied in this topic after smish replied!!!

Dear Smishy,

The weights, go to a JD dealer (or any dealer) for a test drive, Nick 2 weights, not the outside ones the next ones in (in case paint is rubbed off), do this 3 times, you have half a set already.

Tyre pressures, rear 20 - 23 if working with dumper or heavy loads

Front 18 - 20 18 with no weights etc . .

14,000 hrs on clock, most likley she's had pistons + linears, most do in the piston rings before 10,000 (if their set up on the pump)

There was a 'N' 6800 with 7400 hours in our Agricultural Trader for ?11.500 and a 'D' 4255 with 8000 hours for ?11.700 so sounds about right Marcus.
