justy 46
Got this issue today & currently reading threw it. Great issue again & thanks to Rory & the gang for another fab read. As I'm a true fan of the Blue machines from yesteryear ...me personly will love this issue ,especially when it covers the era of Fords I love the most being the 7A Series . The ultra rare Ford 5700 is featured in this issue which is a tractor I am very fascinated with ,even tough I never have seen one in the flesh & only noticed its existence a few years ago on a previous issue of Classic Tractor. . A very big looking machine in its day , but based on a 5600 with only 68Hp !!! so probably very underpowered.. It was good to get feedback on it. Lots of Fords were sold in Holland ,France & Belgium ,that we never got in Ireland or the UK & its those machines I find interesting.
robbo
I haven't got the mag as yet this month but I think that David Laley (Walter Derwent) now has quite a large input to the articles
The Tractor Twitcher
I'm a bit more involved now since my career change to photo journalist. I endeavour to find and complete at least one big feature each month for Classic Tractor, alongside a number of smaller items, and sale reports where possible. This month it's the fleet of tidy John Deere tractors on farm not far from where I live. I also contribute features to Classic Tractor's sister titles, Farm Machinery Journal and Heritage Tractor. Steve P
Loved the 70s ford section and the fantastic looking MF 550, spent many a hour as a child watching and sat in the little 550s at work (they didnt look so little back then). Very popular around the hop farms of Herefordshire where i grew up. My farther always looked after his twin door v reg model, the cleanest one on the farm that had 5 of them. Hats off to the classic tractor team for producing more tractor porn !!.

The 5700 at 68HP was only slightly more than let's say a 4610 at 64 HP . For 2 Ford tractors , the size difference was a lot , but the overall power was very close ! Was ever a 5710 produced ? B O R
still excellent material coming through in classic tractor every month, I love the forager specials which there have been plenty of recently, it just continues to deliver....there was a time I was buying up to 5 mags a month but gradually this has been phased out and now its just CT, you just know when you turn that glossy cover that its packed with new data for our small but mechanical brains... well done to the entire team for constantly delivering and please keep it up
