Ford 7000 conversion

Recommended Posts

Been a while since I've done a conversion so here goes. I bought this Britains 7000 but it has been cut around a bit, like the weights. I thought it was a 5000 but it obviously used to have wheel weights so I'm assuming it's a 7000.

firstly I have replaced the front wheels with some off a 1056xl like @tabmodels 7000( sorry if I nicked your idea Ian). I drilled some holes in the axel and took the hubs off the new wheels and screwed them in and replaced the hub. I've also made a new exhaust out of brass...IMG_8713.thumb.JPG.86581b180c59359ae51f392a763b957f.JPGIMG_8714.thumb.JPG.854bfdf7d0c518108fb15b500e73cf92.JPG

Lovely job of restoring the old girl Ted. I have a chassis and a few bonnets, wings cabs and wheels that I should do something with but haven't decided what.

Thanks Martin, 4wd version? sprayer? :)

That’s the spirit! Is based on a real one, or fictitious? As a kid I remember niton manor running one with a farmhand loader on the front, I’m talking early 80’s though
