Pembrokeshire shows

Changed the title to Pembrokeshire shows, rather than start another thread, when these shows were only a few miles( and days) apart.

Went to the Pembrokeshire County show in Cardigan Saturday. Was expecting the same tractors to be on show, obviously some were , but many were different. Several extremely well restored classics.

Thanks for all the comments guys.....

Went to the Nevern show today! Half way between the Fishguard and Cardigan shows.... how many shows can you have in such a small area? Anyway , as we’re on holiday, it was a nice day out again, and yet again, different things to see.

A couple more different classics on show. Interestingly, a Case IH 248, I can’t remember seeing one these before.

Nice pictures again Gavin, I think the 248 was the industrial version of the 485, I've never seen one either, I'm guessing it's been repainted at some point in case red and black rather than the yellow that it would have been originally

Looking closely at the photo of the 248 there John and it's got a hell of a front axle on it for a little 2wd, i wonder if some of those skids were used as those "Tracair" with a twin  tool Bristol compressor mounted on the back and a hefty loader on the front.... just on the subject, one of those Bristol compressors fits almost inch perfect in the load bed of a double cabbed Landy, i been there and done that when i went and picked one up for a lad and couldn't be bothered taking the trailer....

That's very possible Paul, the early ones were known as  the 3434, as you say they usually had a compressor on the back and a loader combined with a heavy sub frame that encased the front of the tractor, hence the need for the needed up front axle

I think between both you and David (DM434) there be a good bit of knowledge on these and various incarnations of the Nash brand ;)

I'm guessing David's probably like me, I was brought up with nashes and spent hours as a kid looking at brochures of them......probably when I should have been doing my homework;) Although I like my green ones now, I'm still a nash man at heart!
