We hope to do the same at the end of the week, more rain forecast for tomorrow though. Looks like your mowers have got under the grass well considering how flat it looks.

Most of our grass was still standing until a week ago before a day of torrential rain.

We use front and rear krone 3.2m mowers without conditioners and the same tedder and Krone rakes. They seem to be virtually indestructible (tree stumps and manholes exempted!)What do you think of the Krone kit?

It's certainly seems to be well made, to be honest the tedder is a bit heavy for the 68 to carry around as she has a tendency to hop on the road if you're not careful, but they both seem to do a good job

As I thought the roads would not be to busy on sunday I spent the day doing the verges . Funny thing is doing the week on local radio station people ring in and complain about the long grass blocking out sighs and cant see at junctions and sharp corners ,they all say farmers should be out there cutting them ,and when we do they blow there horns and make hand sighs to us as we are in there way cant win

Found chickens feedbin lid knocked off couple of days on the run. Put a bungee over it, got bitten in half. Now chained on after seeing a pair of squirrels  trying it! Hope they don't come back with a grinder.20190621_185337.thumb.jpg.1d0cd1157bfc14267b34ba2a02c94de7.jpg

It looks like it has the potential to make some nice clean hay paddy. Do you make it into small squares?

Used to Martin but last on contractors list in catchy weather so got my own kit so me & the missus can do it between us. Got a small round baler, does equivalent  of 3-4 small squares per bale. Run it behind 50hp Branson and use double spike on 1394 for collecting and putting up. Beauty is never have to get off tractor unless baler has a problem of course! Got twin spike for back of Branson which goes on after the baler & missus does chasin with it. Only do 7 acres for ourselves, start about 1pm baling & in the barn by 10.
