NIGEL FORD
I've still got mine from boyhood (first one) but the box is in bits. I wasn't impressed with the speed of the" belt" so plugged it into the mains ( NOW CHILDREN- DO NOT DO THIS!!!) & of course it went bang not faster as I'd hoped! I wrote to Britains & complained the motor had packed up & they sent me a new motor, still installed & working last time I tried it about 20 yrs ago. Andy
Great Stuff! I think a working model such as an elevator is something Britains could benefit from out of todays market!!
JC
I made one from a fyson elevator many moons ago, I'll try and find it for you to have a laugh at. From memory it used to fill a Class silage traier with corn in about 15 seconds!

tractorman314
I bought my Lister Elevator (boxed) from G&M in 1995 for ? 85.00. I have only had it out of the box once , only problem with it was 1 of the motor contacts was broken,so left it alone. I doubt it would work , but that doesn't matter ,just nice to have one. The box was also in good condition, from what i remember, as its been packed away in the loft for about 8 years.I must look it out and check it over. tractorman314. Brewingale
It was released in 1965 and the non powered yellow one came out in 1968, according to Peter Baron`s green book

FB
FP have you found that pic yet?. I tried to make mine work using a lego motor...wasnt powerful enough!
Powerstarâ„¢
Try using a Scalextric motor, instead of the Lego one.
FB
have you tried it?. What one would you recommend?
Powerstarâ„¢
No I havn't tried it, but most scalextric motors are the same, try an older one out of a Escort or Fiesta. Might be a bit fast, but still, nothing better than getting the bales in quicker
FB
yeah i could see that now, fyson parked 100m away from barn, bales loaded up and launched! ;D
FB
actually you could have a fleet of them from feild to yard!! ;D
Powerstarâ„¢
HA HA indeed you could. "Aim. Fire!"

NCC
How about a K'nex one. I've seen them turning those big K'nex ferris wheels so it should handle an elevator. Not sure on the size though maybe a bit large for an elevator unless you hide it ???
FB
I've found the elevator, i'll email you the picture for you to post up! cheers FP
Powerstarâ„¢
NC how could you hide a bloody big K'Nex motor on a little Lister elevator :D But a rag over it and hope no-one see's it
NCC
Use your brain . Hide it under a barn or stack a load of bales round it. ;) It's better than having a supercharged bale cannon like your idea with the scalextric :D
