Well as someone has asked i shall continue MF up untill now :D

In the middle of 2001 all 62's and 82's were given major updates in technology etc which were greatly recieved especially anybody that uses large ploughs (SMS - Spool valve management system). Then in 2002 the 8200's were given tier 2 engines etc getting all the regs under control they were given the name the xtra designation the only 82 not to get the xtra designation was the 8210 due to the fact it wasnt fitted with a tier 2 engine as it wasnt needed. the powers all went up as well as follows

MF 8210 didnt change stayed at 155hp

MF 8220 xtra - 165hp

MF 8240 xtra - 190hp

MF 8250 xtra - 215hp

MF 8260 xtra - 230hp

MF 8270 xtra - 261hp

MF 8280 xtra - 288hp.

No real changes were made until the end of 2003 when the 64 series was introduced which will be put in a new post

Well in late 2003 the 64 series was introduced replacing the 6200 series and was very much similar just with an upgraded engine.  The biggest thing at the time MF introduced the it's first CVT tractor the 7400 and used the vario transmission out of the fendt which was owned by parent company agco.

The MF 6400 and 7400 were exactly the same apart from the transmission with the 64 still having the traditional dynashift

Perkins powered units:-

MF 6445 - 90hp

MF 6455 - 100hp

MF 6460 - 115hp (125hp boost) 4 cylinder

MF 6470 - 125hp (135hp boost) 4 cylinder

MF 6465/7465 - 120hp (130hp boost) 6 cylinder

MF 6475/7475 - 135hp (145hp boost) 6 cylinder

MF 6480/7480 - 145hp (155hp boost)

Sisu powered units

MF 6485/7485 - 155hp (165hp boost)

MF 6490/7490 - 170hp (180hp boost)

MF 6495/7495 - 185hp (195hp boost)

That was 2003 updates

In 2004 the MF 8200 extras were still going strong and selling well in some areas but this wasnt to last much longer as 2 more power units were to be introduced to replace the 8210, 8220, 8240 and the 8250 with all the units from the 64 series and 2 new units which were the:

MF 6497 185hp (200hp on boost)

MF 6499 215hp (230hp on boost)

Also the 54 series were introduced to replace the 4300 series and power was from same perkins power plants ratings were:-

MF 5425 - 75hp

MF 5435 - 85hp

MF 5445 - 90hp

MF 5455 - 100hp

MF 5460 - 115hp

MF 5465 - 120hp 6 cylinder engine

In febuary 2005 the last of the MF 8200 xtras were to be completly replaced by the MF 8400's which had been announced at the end of the 2004.  Ratings of the units were:-

MF 8450 - 215HP (235HP on boost)

MF 8460 - 235hp (260hp on boost)

MF 8470 - 260hp (290hp on boost)

MF 8480 - 290hp (315hp on boost)

The MF 8480 was the first MF tractor of a conventional design to ever break the 300hp barrier.  All the MF 8400's used the vario transmission out of the 900 series fendts instead of using the traditional full powershift of the larger tractors MF 8260 upwards and dynashift MF 8250 downwards (also had powershift as an option)

The bigger MF 64's were updated with bigger engines at the end of 2005 along with the 10 month old MF 8400 (power ratings stayed the same) but the MF 6497 rating changed to 200hp and 215hp on boost but the larger 6499 stayed the same just with 100nm more torque :o :o

And finally in 2005 all 64's were given dyna 6 replacing the much loved dyanshift up to the MF 6480 and also the 6497 and 6499.

The next big change was on the mid-range MF 6400's and 7400's with the 6400's dyna 6 being supplied in the 6485, 6490 and 6495 and with both ranges having updated engines from sisu they also changed the styling on the models this all happened in 2006:-

MF 6485 - rated hp 160hp, max hp 175hp and hp on boost was 185hp

MF 6490 - rated hp 170hp, max hp 185hp and on boost 195hp

MF 6490 - rated hp 185hp, max hp 198hp and on boost 205hp

The MF 74's had the engines tuned slightly differently but were exactly the same sisu engines:-

MF 7485 - 165hp rated and a max power of 180hp

MF 7490 - 175hp rated and max power of 190hp

MF 7495 - 190hp rated and a max power of 203hp

The larger 6497 ratings were tuned up again to:-

Rated - 200hp

Max - 215hp

With boost - 225hp

The 6499 ratings also changed to:-

Rated - 215hp

Max - 230hp

With boost - 240hp

Thats MF tractors up to date as far as i know bar any machines smaller then the 54 series :D
