Thanks for the comments. Yes everything was alright not even a mirror or a chip of paint off. All that extra packing I put in payed off. There is a bit of room to expand but my son wants to put his scalextric and a train set up here as well, Kids eh they just spoll all your plans. Saying that can't wait to have the scalextric down either, But don't tell him that. I had another look at the farm today and I think it's the only way I can fit everything on this size board. So now I'll start painting the board and putting the lights in. Will keep you's updated on the progress.

Scalextric is 1/32 is it not? You could include it in and around the farm layout mate, now that would be dapper as!!!

How about fitting a scalextric motor and brushes etc to some tractors and having a Tractor Grand Prix?!!

i went to a model village where they had a scalextric track around it with a Britains Valtra running around! That had the scalextric gear fitted!! Looked quite good.

Yes thats a good idea it would look good. I would have to have the board at the same height and have a access hole in the middle just in case of any off's ( with my driving there will be ) Ihave all the scenery ie grandstands, bridges and trees. Ia'm not too sure about the motors in the tractors Ihaven't got the know how for that. It might be a first having a tractor grand prix eh, Iam off into the loft with my tape and doing a few calculations. Thanks for that Tris.

Well I've been up into the loft and I dont think I can get the scalextric to run with the farm. The beams are slightly in the way, The loft is set in like four sections, It is going to take a bit of work and money to do it. Before I built the farm on this board iI built a scalextric track on it , If only I had more room and thought about it I could have done that. here are some photos before I pulled it apart.

Just thought I would send these pics in on how the farm is getting on. I'am moving everything off the board, Have marked out were things is going and I have started putting a ditch along side the road. Not too sure if its going to work out properly but will finish it first and see. I'am not working to a plan just as it comes to mind.
