Lexion580
Hi Just ordered the 5F Dowdeswell DP1, has anyone built one of these? How easy would it be to add a couple of furrows later on? Nick
jdc
I haven't done one of those. IMHO the 6f is a nicer model and I think the additional furrows only fit the 6f (AT31) kit....
Lexion580
Thanks to the very nice man at Top Tractor i've changed my order to the 6F model, can't wait to get it
jdc
Good Oh! It's way better. The extra furrows just fix on to a brass strip in the casting...very simple.. Let's see it when it's done

Lexion580
Still haven't got round to building the kit, now we've finished drilling i've got a bit more time. Anybody know what glue is best to use for these kits?
Leakeyvale
Still haven't got round to building the kit, now we've finished drilling i've got a bit more time. Anybody know what glue is best to use for these kits? My Scaledown kit that was given to me for my birthday has a twin-tube of general purpose Epoxy resin that came with it, along with the paints. I am not going to be doing the building but will ask my friend Rodney what he uses as he has been building models for the last 40-odd years
Lexion580
Cheers mate, I'm sure I read somewhere to use Epoxy but I couldn't remember where i'd seen it

Lord Ferguson
Thats a great site Nigel.... so... may I be so bold as to ask.... "Spring '09 will see the launch of our first "Ready-built" model tractors for those who prefer just to collect rather than build aswell, but these first 2 models will only be available as limited editions of just 500 units each worldwide and will be all metal, cabbed tractors with similar detail to our kits and not suitable to attach other manufaturers "play" implements to, purely static display pieces." Will you have something ready for Spalding then Mr F

catkom3
Got mine finished,it's the six furrow AT31,it was a really nice kit to build,a wee bit easier than the two furrow Ransomes I did last year,I was going to put it behind one of Mr Purdoes blue machines, but seeing as it's a "land" plough it goes nicely on the back of my Fiat type crawler Regards Joe. Deere-est
That's a pretty smart job of building that chap, fair play to you. Be a while before I attempt one of the big ploughs I think
Tractorman810
great plough aint it, wil try and get a pic of mine with the added hitch part for siku/britains fitting, its only a bit of metal bent to shape and pins added very simple, but makes it so usedable
