PDH Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 As requested in another topic I?ve started to photograph the Britain?s ?Vintage? Series. Hopefully over the coming weeks I?ll add photos of all 16 of the models that were part of this series. The brand name of the series varied during the period of issue. Initially called in the catalogue the Vintage Farm series, the first 7 were branded ?Home Farm?. Then the Ferguson TE-20 was issued without any branding and then the next 3 reverted to ?Home Farm?. Then we had the Fordson E27N issued with branding of ?Vintage Tractor?. This was followed by the David Brown 900 and Land Rover Series 1 which were branded ?Vintage Farm?, followed by the Marshall M as a ?Vintage Vehicle? and back to ?Vintage Farm? for the Lanz. Why the changes? Only Britains knows. All models were issued in quality card boxes (coloured green for the Home Farm and blue for the vehicles) and were packed individually in a white card outer box for protection. Each model was held in the box by a profile cut foam liner. All of the Home Farm models were cast in white metal and hand painted (in England). The Ferguson and Fordson were also produced in England but the David Brown, Land Rover, Marshall and Lanz were all produced in China. The entire Series consists Ref No Model Intro Deleted 8704 Plough Set 1995 1996 8705 Farmyard Scene 1995 1996 8706 The Forge 1995 1996 8707 Tumbrel Cart 1995 1996 8708 Windmill 1996 1996 8709 Milk Cart 1996 1996 8710 Good Shepherd 1996 1996 8711 Ferguson TE20 1996 1996 8712 Blacksmith 1996 1996 8713 Farrier 1996 1996 8714 Farmers Wife Set 1996 1996 8715 Fordson E27N 1997 1997 08716 David Brown 900 1998 1998 08735 Land Rover Ser 1 1998 1998 00172 Marshall M 1999 1999 00315 Lanz Bulldog 2000 2000 Quote

Leakeyvale Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Thanks Sue That much for the ploughing set eh Win some, lose some but I find if something went last month for a high price a new listing rarely makes the same. I notice another FTF member is been bidding on the latest one which is currently at ?15.00 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150192714315&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=005 Quote
