graham Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 been after a 1/32 manitou so thought i would have a go at making one , made a grain bucket , muck grab, and bale spike as well to fit it Quote
Tractorman810 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 is that one of those cheapo body ones mate?? if so i thought the same thing when i saw them, but pondered a jd chassis/wheels for it, looks great doesnt it, and near on the right colour already Quote
graham Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 yes sean and jason it is only a cheap chinese model i thought it would be near enough for me it looks ok size wise as murry says the wheels could be better , but out on the layout it will look ok Quote
Tractorman810 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 thought it was, used to have a black knob out of the rear of the arm for something, some cheapo comopany called famermodels or simialr, Quote
Murray Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 just get some wheels from somewhere will look then wheels of my mantitou might suit. doubt it though since its 1.25 : Quote
graham Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 it had bits out the back like you say and you can see where the turning knob was on the mast , it was blue i sprayed it up , it just looked like a manitou to me it is not perfect by any means sean . not sure who makes it Quote
Tractorman810 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 looks spot on to me, ones i saw were red palstic but otherwise the same about 3 quid each from memory Quote
stewartyg Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 looks well - the musc grab makes it look the part!! Quote
jakescot Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 hey , very tidy job, you say blue?...............how similar to a NH one would that be then ?? would that be what it was loosely based on you think? anyway looks good enough and great tools for it too !!! Quote
nashmach Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Superb job there The attachments really set it off for me - will they fit other handlers Quote
graham Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 hey , very tidy job, you say blue?...............how similar to a NH one would that be then ?? would that be what it was loosely based on you think? anyway looks good enough and great tools for it too !!! ithink jakescot that it is loosely based on the manitou , i would say more manitou than new holland ,the attachments nashmach only fit that model mate Quote

sparrow legs Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 i have one of these models, got a red one from kiwi (nick) pulled it apart and has sat in the draw since as stated good base model but lacks steering and good wheels, will have to dig it out and have a playaround with it Quote
Deere-est Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I missed this one Graham, apologies mate. You've done a nice job with that. Very nice, maybe an old Joal JCB on 1/35th would be good for the wheels? Quote
