Wow that looks challenging!! Thanks for going out in the rain all day to get photos for us, Bas  :) I really enjoy your topic. Those huge tyres on the trailers are very gentle on the ground but when they go down they must be hard work to pull out with those huge tyres bulldozing so much soil infront of them  :of

Thanks Tris, it's nice to see when the equipment need all there power. But the drivers have seen it after one day, then it's no fun anymore.

Wow!!! The man on the towing tractor must be pretty sharp to keep the other one along side the forager when he is so far away from it. Quite some operation to get the maize in this year. Excellent photos though, well worth getting it wet for!  8)

not really, the tractor on the trailer just has to clutch and the one on the rope at the front will no longer be moving forwards

The start from the maize harvest was good but end very wet this year.

Ever think of using smaller trailers if ground conditions don't allow the big ones?  :-\

You are right those USA trailers are also very heavy. The Kaweco silage trailer had less problems.

This dairy farmer must make some miles from the field to the pit. Sometimes they drive 2 hours for 1 load ( from pit to field and back).

That is also the reason they still use those big trailers.
