CX820Joe
will there really be standard production ones later on, really like this model but it's a bit on the steep side for me at the moment End of sept mate - £29.99 It'll be worth it too - isn't it great looking? And unlike the Lemken one from UH its diecast construction, not plastic

tim53uk
Yea mine is on order from toptractor What do you guys think would be a suitable tractor to put in front of it? Cheers
Deere-est
Wiking Fendt would look immense but maybe a Valtra from UH would be better matched size wise. . . Hang on, I don't have either of them
CX820Joe
What about a Fendt 818 Vario? I wondered about one of those...Think the 936 would be a bit too big, as would the Quadtrac!
Deere-est
Joe you just gave my wallet the excuse it needed to buy an 820!
CX820Joe
Ha ha, glad to oblige! I haven't got an 820 personally - have 3 818's though, and may still get the820 too...and also the 718! Oh and the Weise 515...I'm sure I've said this before you know! Just checked the Kverneland brochure and the plough requires 135 hp, so the 818 may be a bit overpowered...415 then? Deere-est
Ah but you want some wieght though so the higher end of the 100 horsepower would be better me thinks.
Fendt Fahrer
7 furrows will need all and more of a Fendt 820 in the soil were we are. 135 hp seems to be one of these figures given to sell more ploughs rather than be accurate. I am sure in sandy soil it will be ok, but who needs to plow that kind of land ?
FB
damn....still gonna wait for the gen release.....and i need to update the HP/implement table....10hp/furrow wasnt it \
ksp
hmmm not too interrupt but here in Denmark on the isle i live on, they pull a 7f Lemken plough with a fendt 930 and on another farm they pulling a 8f Lemken with a JD 8420. And they aint get the job done easely. But we also have some heavy soil and that combined with some serios hills, requires some horsepower Kim
schw84
it also depends on the size of the furrow and whether you have a vari width plough or not a 5 furrow opened up could need 150hp or more to pull it.
Light Land
Lads you all know matching a tractor to plough is like saying how long is a piece of string.
Kiwi6920
Lads you all know matching a tractor to plough is like saying how long is a piece of string. Exactly, two farms I have worked on - JD 7810 with 8f Kv, Ford 8340 with 6f Kv. All down to soil, grip and wieght.
