  2. my father really liked this months mag too rory, infact he knows were there is a fiat 1000s in his area........ha ha!......i told him he NEEEEDS it, wonder if he will drop his gaurd long enough for his cheque book to fall out of his pocket dad usually gets his same day as me, and he at the other end of the country, i have already lost my copy, someone else has it to read now hey rory, can you do a buyers guide on the Deutz 7806? or similar? or send someone to america to find that shop that rebuilds DX transmissions? (stien bro???)
  3. good to see there are a few TDD and JX floating round in the world they sold one or two here, the JX95 they sold here the dealer never seems to see, they all say its bolted together rather ruffly, but they are built on a tractor which I know is solid they had the FIAT 66s gearbox, engines and axles,.....they weren't the prettiest tractor, but they kept going, i used to drive a 70-66DTs, i think in 6000hours, it did a diff seal, and a few rollpins in the shuttle lever..... that series of tractor in its day, the biggest model was the 80-66, then the turks, bolted a turbo on and started selling them as 95-66's.....i guess when they figured the tractor could handle the hp.......the JX95 and TD95D emerged
  4. ya i thought the 3300 series was SAME sourced the 3600 std field tractors was carraro sourced (could be wrong there) , they could be offering the same tractor in fruit and vineyard spec now the MF 4400 was valtra carraro built valtra, and renaults orchards also, i thought the give away on the SAME sourced ones is the front axle
  5. if you was comparing a MXU115 to a MXU110.........the 110 is the 4 pot turbo, makes the 6 pot MXU15 look like a slug don't be fooled by the more cylinders is better arguement, look at the torque figures etc more cylinders were better back when turbo's were new technology they sold a 5465 here last year out of our workshop, seems to go alright, only advise is remeber its a small tractor, if all its going to do is draft work/heavy pulling, buy the next series up........thats if you want the gearbox to last a lot of my customers brought massey in the last 3 years, the brought, 5465, 6465?, 6470, 6480, 7475, 7495, 7485, the 5400's weren't a popular series round here, the biggest loader we fitted was on a 7485, its primary job is loader work, and pulling a 18tonne feed out wagon MF is a good choice, there new tractors are nice, if i was to buy a tractor 100-200, it would either be MF or CNH puma.......the first 140 just sold here, that is a nice machine also

  7. one of our customers has one, with 250 hours on it the driver loves it, all it does is pull a slurrie spreader, fert spreader, ocationally a loader wagon, and i think they are going to set it up to pull truck trailers ( we just set the air and hyd brakes up)..........the 3pt hitch arms are collecting dust in the shed they seem to like it, but it is not a true puller, its a comprimise of a road machine and tractor, like its suppose to be.......its the ultimate fastrac, they sorted the tranny problems, clutch problems (brought a fendt gearbox), gave it a cummins (did i mention i like this part!).... still has driveshafts to the pto, and rear axle etc, but a good keen man, grease gun and creeper on a flat concrete floor will ensure these last a long time with the new fendts hitting 60km on the road, makes ya wonder there true advantage seems to suit the role its in, it replaced a fendt 818, give it a couple years, it will have 4000-5000 hours on it, will be interesting to see what he does next time

  11. ha ha!........i had to do a double take on it, flying past on the way home from a job......couldn't figure out why the machine had a steering wheel don't know what model leyland it is, might look next time, the brakes and the hand brake lever were the first give away, there are another couple obscurities down at the port, they have a loadmaster forklift which is a nz made forklift built on a B-250? or B-275, nice unit and the other is a ford 5000 tug tractor, MF295, and fiat 1000 2wd rops

    i got a giodi? one, a 98.4? its a smaller model this is a later, larger tractor, they built a couple sizes bigger too, up to 130hp.....these might be rare tractors in italy i know carraro tractors did end up in the renault brand need to dig out some more pics i got

  17. yup.......definite thing of beauti, i seen one before, but not here in New Zealand the aussie sourced ford 7700 i used to drive had a black bonnet too,.........stops the glare 3pt hitch was optional on chamberlain sedan series at the same time these were marketed also you can always rely on a aussie to make something solid, simple, and that works

  21. acording to a bepco or bareco catalogue at work, there was a 294, for the US, and the 294s for europe (based on landini 8550)....the first 294 with the silver cab, looks like the 8550, the later one u posted with black cab, looks like a 7860 with a italian made aftermarket cab on it but no 294as, i reckon its a typo the 236 was the favoured engine for turbos, because apparently it had a stronger bottom end, ha ha!......i don't know the ins and outs thou........i thought they were similar i like the bend piece of spring steel used for the draft control sensing on the toplink of the later 294, i think thats definitly a landini thing, SAME interesting enough put it on the lower link pins, something modern tractors do, cause of the hp and stress on the toplink housing

  23. dunno if agco outright owns iseki, i wondering if it more of a joint venture, i have never tried to find out the landini globus/MF 2200 was also a ISEKI TR series, agco use the smaller compacts, used the larger ones in the WHITE Field boss series in the 80's, ISEKI also use the MF390 with its own axle for its domestic market, and the MF 6100, 6200, and landini legend for the big ones...... large italian influence there, most those tractors are, other then the japanese kubota, iseki, and i suppose.....the Mitsubishi engined compact lamborghini ha ha! that delfino 2wd is a rare bird, a late model one, would be happy to have one of those to tinker on.......its really just a italian MF135 substitute
  24. ya the 294S, i had pics of one somewhere, was taken in either poland or croatia nice looking machine, looked like a landini 60 series with different cab, just like the 373-393MF's sold in australia there was also a american 294, which is different i think, more similar to the 194MF built by landini if your still hunting for pics of 3050A remeber that are probably in none english speaking countries! that does effect ya google searching
