  1. not the easiest tractor to operate at first, certainly with it's wide turning circle (thank god for separate brakes), but from minute one you cannot escape the feeling you are driving a beast with those large front wheels in front of you. Our contractor used it for spreading the silage in the silo.. still has it, but doesnt use it anymore and it has been added to his ever growing collection of old tractors since a couple of years..
  2. very nice one brand orientated collection (i can appreciate that) , missing a few of the older UH models in dealerboxes it seems, however that can always be helped, it is still quite impressive! do you also collect brochures or are you keeping yourself strictly to dealerboxed Claas models?
  3. top 5.. ay.. keeping it to what i drove though.. so.. Ford 4000 Ford 6710 Ford 5000 County 1004 Ford Force Ford 8210 III
  4. that is impressive .. someone is jealous really nice collection of brochure mostly of a great period in time.. late 70's and early 80's that is..
  5. that MF390 is interesting... with it's FORD weights on it from what i gathered when i was there, is that a lot of old kit is still being used by immigrants that moved there in the last 20-30 years and brought their stuff with them, but i also see a lot of new kit on your pictures! They used to import mostly asian equipment as those were cheapest to import, so happily surprised things are turnign around.. size does matter! it is mostly easier and more efficient to have bigger herds and bigger farms have to put a lot of thought into making things more efficient, the ideas on how to do that, differ from country to country, so it is a good thing you have witnessed different ideas and methods for doing a thing like vaccinating ewes.. and on other areas as well! on a note: we used to have a wheelloader on our farm, but now we have a tractor with frontloader, and we wouldnt want to change back ever.. so i can see their point in using frontloaders rather then wheelloaders!
  6. Welcome to the nuthouse, you will find many like minded lunies here, i am sure you will enjoy your stay here! please dont hold back on posting pictures and starting topics about your beloved TrackMarshall's .. i'll bet it will be quite interesting to see more of this brand..
  7. wellcome back i guess.. the ford fest is now officially over Barry but on the good side, we can again make fun off big nose of course we all missed ya buddy, it was sometimes too quiet (although Random Rick did make things interesting with his topics ).
  8. very nice kit.. that FW30 is awesome, i'd love to take that for a spin
  9. nice pictures, from the looks of it, your stock is improving quality wise! and that is how it is supposed to go, when you use the right material. for me it is always a challenge to breed better calves then their mothers, according the latest herdbook results, we have achieved it again last year, and it looks like this year we will make another small step forward overall with one exception on the positive side.. I noticed i completely forgot to post the pictures of the last cow shows in this topic.. will try to source them down tomorrow. i recently had them uncovered, so should not be too difficult..
  10. you are mean , but i think you meant i mean picture has to wait, not at my @home location!
  11. random Rick is at it again.. ohh wait.. Bill????? i am probably gonna win this .. ( i assume there is a price ? ) 2 1/4 " spanner for the table saw , also 32 mm for bolts on the tractor ( which is roughly 1 3/8" )
  12. hello Sjonnie, fantastic job, i am not very well up to date with the Evers kit, but was there not a release recently of a similar unfoldable Evers ripper ? and is this an addition to that thing, or a complete new kit from scratch? also, i'll take it this is from Henry Selten, then you might want to add ".NL" to the title, as farmmodels.co.uk is owned and operated by someone completely different! (Imber manufacturer) keep up the good work (and unbelievable work ethic, you keep them coming!)
  13. i think they are about 30 pounds right now at some traders, but getting harder to find them, so fetching more on ebay right now.. A Jaditoys that makes more then 100 pounds is ridiculous, i have the Yaxon on which it is based and that makes similar money but is much older and more rare!
  14. it's that or he got rabies after Patrick bit him during his blind guidedog training session
  15. that must be it.. but veggies dont make fonecalls... , such a shame of the screen, he probably banged his big nose into it when wanting to read the fineprint on the MF brochures
  16. so this wealth of knowledge was not based on yourself David? just kidding of course, you surprise me every time with how much you know about these type of farmyards and buildings of which most knowledge is hard to come by.. thanks for sharing!
  17. great find.. must have been a great price... although... it was for charity
  18. can't find the right topic... I know some changes are happening concerning this magazine, but what exactly? is the latest issue out etc??
  19. as said above, all depends on the seller and what he is willing to do regarding the customs form, as well as what your country custom department has for rules for inporting models through parcels. This differs per country greatly. I would recommend using a tracable postage service as this will secure your parcels getting there. Also using Paypal (they cover internet purchases up to 1000 dollars) is recommended for international purchases.
  20. on the gandmfarmmodels website a Ford 5000 Ernest Doe demonstrator tractor in 1:16 is shown.. anyone know anymore about this?
  21. fantastic sculptures and great to be able to add those remaining sculptures to your collection.. it requires a bit of saving i would think to add the last of the missing sculptures , especially that last one is enormous
  22. what kind of milking stable have you got to your disposal then? 24 fishgrate?
  23. well, they dropped their prices considerable by 150 dollars, which is still a bit overpriced considering i got mine cheaper , now i would be greatly curious what a metallic blue chaser unit of that would do.. my guess, 4 figures
  24. that is a very nice undertaking! love the Ford 4000 in general and you did a good job with this! the square mudgaurds are a must on this in my opinion, great job on the back wheels and rims, they are spot on!
  25. immense feedpad! it does make it a lot easier to feed then in one driveby compared to what we are used to, over here.. Then again, lots of time needed for milking that bunch i'd imagine..
